I've been kind of sidetracked this week; sorry. Kari opted to move back up to Illinois with James for financial reasons - he was basically going to pay for all her living expenses while she earned her degree as a veterinary technician. You should see poor Kyle sniffing at the door to her room unable to figure out where Tsuki went. Breaks a kittymommy's heart.
On the other hand, it does mean we have an empty room. And we sure as hell know someone who has been looking to move back to New Orleans for the longest-ass time. So Karl's best friend Chuck and Chuck's boyfriend John will be living with us starting early-mid-May-ish. I've lived with Chuck before; he's fun, and I don't have a problem with John either. (I am wondering where they're going to put all their clothes. Closet space is very limited.)
It's also going to be the first time in 40+ years this house will have to institute a "no smoking/no weed" policy indoors. XD Look, everyone knows I'm of the "drugs are bad, mmmmkay" persuasion, but Chuck's had cancer for a few years and, well...the pain gets bad and he has no healthcare etc. etc., so I'm not in any position to stop him, but I am limiting it to the garage. Regular cigarettes are porch-only.
I loved my father-in-law, but the guy did contribute to the destruction of the walls and curtains in this house, is what I'm saying.
Oh, and I have Portal 2 on pre-order due to the judicious use of gift certificates (thank you, Jason and Sean), and I cannot freaking wait.
So. We caught up? Okay; let's get on to the good stuff.
THEY ARE RELEASING NEW SHE-RA TOYS OH MY GOD GIVE THEM ALL TO ME.
ASDFHGJALDJ{AUEOWNDSA@$^&$ YES
YOU GUYS.
SERIOUSLY.
Okay, enough toys. Time for cosplay!
This guy made the coolest Batman.
Classic Catwoman action!
Bryan as Captain Hammer versus....oh God, which Doctor is that THIS IS NOT MY FANDOM
J.K. with the Comedian.
Me as Akashiya Moka with a delightful Aerith. I offered her 1 gil for the paper flower, but she gave it to me for free. George: "You should have offered her a Phoenix Down." Me: "Aw, dude. Too soon."
And representing the FFX fandom was this beautiful Lulu!
There was a group of Mortal Kombat cosplayers, but I really only wanted my picture with Kitana. I love this shot.
Chicago Ghostbusters!
Iron Fist and Power Man, Heroes For Hire.
Silk Spectre. Yes, I was staring at her boobs. You would have, too.
Professional Johnny Depp cosplayer. He gave me his card. I think I'll give it to Jen.
J.K. and HOLY FUCKING SHIT THAT'S MOJO.
A badass Hawkman.
HOW ABOUT SOME ACTUAL PEOPLE?
Ran into Sheila of all people!
And also Eric. We're friends again now.
This is how we met George.
Don't worry, George, I'm sure that ovipositor didn't do any permanent damage.
Igor, the Random Russian Triple Fanboy who turned out to be KEVIN'S FIANCEE'S EX-BOYFRIEND. It's a small internet.
GAIL FREAKING SIMONE. I have podcasty intentions towards her, but no promises.
Bryan dressed as Dr. Insano and caught the attention of the Cinema Snob. He tried to rub it in my face that they've been emailing each other, to which I responded: "I have Scarlett's phone number." "GODDAMN YOU!" XD
Also I'm pretty sure I one-upped him with this picture, so nyeah.

And I got Doug to say hi to Karl. It went a little sideways. :)
Noel gives into the madness. It was bound to happen sooner or later.
Noel, myself and Bryan at the first of many bars Friday night. J.K. posted this and called us nerds. Excuse me, art monkey, but I am a geek, thank you. :P
I had my picture taken with Eliza Dushku on Sunday, but her assistant blurred it so badly that it's irreparable. :( Fortunately, I got her to say hi to the show:

Throw a donation her way, won't you? Tell her MadeOfFail.net sent you!
This is what was posted to the monitor at the Rock Band stage. I don't blame them.

I went with the song I would have the most fun with. Hey, doesn't my guitarist look a little like Seth Green when he played Oz on Buffy?

This was just a long story.
This was a hungover morning when I had to part ways with Bryan and J.K. It was sad and I miss them.
OKAY NON-C2E2 STUFF NOW.
Tessa and Weston at our awesome Asian karaoke night. I forgot what they were dueting on here but it was awesome.
This is my dad's Schnoodle, Bea. She didn't like me. Stupid dog. Dogs should be dog-sized anyway. I coulda stuck a broom handle up her ass and used her as a mop. XD
"Hey Pat, wanna play PS3?" "Nah, my gaming days are behind me." "Oh, here, just try the God Of War 3 demo. All the cool kids are doing it." *Pat beats the demo* "So how much are these consoles again?" XD
Ben does not change facial expressions.
Hee!
Of course I had to visit my grandma while I was up there. I don't get up to Illinois that often. And yes, I did leave her a strand of Mardi Gras beads. :)
BIRTHDAY PARTY!
I am instituting this cake as a mandatory tradition.
My nieces Elizabeth and Ella.
OKAY FINE ELLA'S CUTE SHUT UP I NEVER SAID THAT IN PUBLIC
Ella has this toy guitar that both Kelly and my dad took a swing at and it's...surprisingly in tune. Note my dad's guitar face.
My sister Traci, my dad and me.
Me with both my sisters Tia and Traci. We almost NEVER get together.
Tia, my mom, me and Traci.
My niece Tayhler drew me this card, and I found this absolutely awesome. Don't we all love to hop?
So after dinner and cake, Traci and Tia and my cousin Heather and my Aunt Nancy and my grandma all went out to karaoke. Traci is a gifted singer, but for some reason made me promise not to put this on YouTube.
I don't recall any restrictions on TwitVid, though. :) And that's my and Karl's love song, by the way, so I had to call him and be all sad. Also, that's where my camera ran out of room. I wish I could have gotten the whole thing. :(
Lastly, and this is important, Made Of Fail
is holding auctions over the next month to help us pay for, you know, running the show. I've got one delightful novelty gift up so far, and there will be more actual things to come. Also, do check out
The Daynapocalypse, won't you? We're really proud of it and watching the ads also gets us paid. :)
