i did it. i added a long-winded frame to it, so there was some mutual admiration and face saving space first...
but i posted it.
because ppl were all starting to agree a little too much.

scared to read my email for the next 24 hours. because all those fragments of conversation? were almost verbatim from posts other well-meaning but bandwagonny ppl made. just made a little more extreme. the steering committee hates me so much, they keep suggesting i join them.
and, the thing is, the guy in question *is* a jerk sometimes, and an unenlightened sexist and racist. and he *did* throw a cement brick in anger, and it did damage a raspberry bush.
but the guy who started this witchhunt? i hate him. he is a whiny little self-righteous, unexamined-ly entitled weasel who knows how to use buzz words to get what he wants. (and he's so blinded by his own Just Cause, he doesn't think we should thank home despot for donating stuff to us. because they're evil. but we still want them to donate thousands of dollars worth of stuff to us. and he attacked me for disagreeing. so he's a jerk.)
