Wow, what a year! I e-mailed out a copy of our Christmas letter to several people but i figued I'd post it here too. Everyone have a Good New Year's eve! Stay safe!
Hello, hope everyone had a good year. We had a very eventful year. On March 5th we welcomed a new member to our family, Sean Xavior Cancasci. He has added a lot of joy and excitement to our lives. We discovered in late April that he has a milk protein allergy, so this means no dairy for awhile. His health, other than the allergy and the occasional ear infection has been good. He is now crawling, babbling, and pulling himself up on everything in sight. We think he may be walking by the New Year. We enjoy watching him as he grows and discovers the world around him. He is growing so fast, I know he will only continue to grow and explore in the year to come.
Luna is now in the 2nd grade at Gower Elementary. She is doing well, academically. We are seeing growth socially, but she is still behind her peers. We would appreciate your prayers for her. She has had some pretty good days at school and her teacher adores her individuality. She loves to read and her reading vocabulary has greatly improved. Luna still proves to be a wonderfully healthy little girl. She is growing fast. Luna is also a great help with her little brother. She helps by feeding him occasionally and playing with him daily. He loves his time with his “Sissy,” as she calls herself. She is already asking for another baby, “a girl this time.” She has been told she is going to have to wait until Sean is at least two.
Kyle has been working hard, as usual. He hit his 5 year mark at Wal-Mart in April. He knows his department inside and out and has earned the respect of several department, store, and district managers through out the years. He does very well providing for his family. In May, he found a new apartment with more room and did the bulk of the work moving.
Esther found out in June that she was hired by Nashville Metro Schools to teach. She is at Head Middle Magnet School teaching Science, Language Arts, and Social Studies. She spends most of her days consumed with work. Kyle has been a big help by picking up the slack. She enjoys most of her days at work. There are days that are challenges but for the most part it is the paper work that is the most annoying. She is still planning on helping with the Renaissance Festival this coming year. She and Sean had a blast the few days in May that they were able to make it out. Lots of people wanted to she the fairy baby. Sean was wonderfully behaved.
We have all enjoyed generally good health. Life continues onward and God has been good to us this year. We have experienced the miracle of birth, surprise of a new job, a good home, and loving family. We have also experienced loss this year too. Esther lost her grandfather, her dad’s dad, but she is doing better. Kyle also had his dog, which was left in Ohio when he moved to Nashville, put to sleep. Luckily we can see past the hurts and see that those we love are no longer in pain. That thought and God’s love is what sustains us through the hard times. Hope all is well for you!
