Dexter looks at her with interest and an expression of amusement; he grew up in Miami, so all the girls he's known have either been broken or tough and likely to beat him up.

"Hi," he says, cheerfully. "What are you doing?"

Aaaand there she goes, arms and legs splayed, beautiful with laughter. "Making a fool out of myself. It's fun."

"I do that quite often," Dexter smiles. "My favorite activity at work is teasing all the women just to see them blush."

"Oh, I don't believe you."

[aneatmonster]

"Why not?" Dexter grins at her, a charming sort of grin. "Do you think I can't be charismatic enough?"

[queen_oracle]

"I'd never, ever doubt it, give my word." She curls around on her side just like a cat. "But you don't look like you'd like it."

"What do you mean?" Dexter asks curiously.

[queen_oracle]

"You just seem differentish, that's all."

[aneatmonster]

"Well, I was born and bred in Miami," Dexter jokes, wondering if she had picked up on him already. "We're practically an alien race."

[queen_oracle]

"Really? Where is it?" She laughs.

[aneatmonster]

The glint in his eye and the grin on his face shows that he's entirely joking.

"Hell," he laughs.

[queen_oracle]

"I think that's the only place I've never been," lightly.

[aneatmonster]

"Then we have something in common--" He pauses. "--though I don't think I know where you're really from."

"Westmark. Marianstat. Places you've never heard of."
