I need ten eh? Well here goes nothing...
1. Friends, laughter: whether it be silly fun or talking or chillin'- just being with people that you have that deep quality connection with- no judgement just love
2. Pecan Waffles or Pancakes with a side order of something chocolately- make sure to consume for dinner rather than breakfast
3. A good solid workout at the gym- getting off the treadmill after a several mile run with the endorphins kicking in and my legs all wobbly reaching for my water bottle and knowing that any stress that I had was evaporated in my sweat
4. A cuddle with my cat Merrin- nothing like a purring sleeping cat curled up on my stomach. Watching her breathe puts me in a calm peaceful frame of mind and even if I am not tired and completely energized I could fall asleep watching her have her kitty dreams
5. A good cup of tea reading a great book curled up under fleece blankets with flannel pjs, long underwear and a plate of gooey freshly made cookies...nothin' says good times like a good lay...down with a great story
6. Driving in my car to the apple orchard or the bookstore with some awesome beat blasting R&B tune singing along by myself
7. Helping others learn something new or experience something that I enjoy and seeing their face light up in understanding or happiness
8. Getting a hug from someone I care about- friends, family etc.
9. Succeeding at something that I put time and effort into- that I sank my mind and heart into- knowing that after trying my hardest I accomplished what I put my mind to- whether it be a microbiology exam, or a great piece of artwork (collages are my fav), a new recipe...
10. Sleeping in, waking up to sunshine, going for an awesome walk in the fall, coming inside to hot apple cider and baking apple pie and not stressing about tomorrow (of course a crisp summer night walk, or a winterwonderland romp or a springtime night after a good rain...are also splendid times to get outside)
