Agony
So US National Figure Skating Championships are this week, which is kind of nice because the international intrigues and controversies fade into the background a little bit. Still, there's plenty of heartbreak to go around.
Stupid Ashley Wagner won the stupid Ladies' competition with a stupidly inflated free skate score of 148-point-something. I mean, it was good, but it wasn't THAT good. No wonder she throws hissy fits when she goes to international competitions and they score her what she deserves. I don't know what's worse, to be honest: her whining and bitching when she doesn't get the score she wants, or her boastful mugging and flirting with the camera when she does. Either way, she makes me sick to my stomach.
So frustrating, but I guess that's what happens when you cheer for someone to lose instead of for someone to win. It will be better tomorrow, because tomorrow is the men's free skate there's no one in that field whom I specifically want to see lose, so I'll be fine with whomever wins.
