Books vs Kindle
Here is something I replied to a friend of mine who was going on about his love for his Kindle. Some people were calling him blasphemous for liking e-books instead of fighting for more "real" books. I had to say my piece.
I'm a book freak, but I am a book freak who plans to own a Kindle! I adore books in so many ways, I collect them and treasure them and touch them and smell them..but let's be honest - despite the awesomeness of bound set of paper, it is not always practical. I can keep a Kindle in my purse and I can read in line at the grocery store, the waiting room, my lunch break, etc. Some of the novels I want to read are very large, that is rarely practical. I expect to continue to purchase physical books (like how I still purchase CDs if I love the song downloads enough) but Kindle will no doubt expand my collection of novels.
