Once again, I’m sick. I saw this one coming from a mile off. I blame school, for its too much hw, not enough time for kids to sleep, and then making all the Asian kids freak out, cause apparently, us “Asian kids” are sposed to be perfect. And since we’re so freaking perfect, the teachers come down harder on us than the other, non-Asian kids. Hello, racism.
IN other news…
I’ve written a lot more of my Harry Potter fanfic. I’ve decided to switch between my nanowrimo story and my fanfic, so when I run out of steam for one, I can take a break from that story and use my talents on the other one.
My fanfic, Hiss, has a new plot - again. But I really think I got it right this time. I’m pretty sure this is the last change in plot. So, without further ado, the prologue (and I’ve written MUCH more than that, rest assured
):
This was it, her great escape, her salvation. Carefully planned and perfectly executed, she would be free from this place, and off on a grand adventure. She could hardly wait, the anticipation was almost making her nervous. Of course, she wasn't nervous; she never was. One more minute, and I'll be flying away, she thought. Just one more minute, and she'd - ah!
The pastel blue carriage tipped to one side, making her think of being perched precariously on a cliff. What is happening outside? she wondered. She didn't have much time to dwell on that, though, for footsteps muffled by the carpet started walking towards her direction. Her heart began to pound. No! She couldn't be caught now, when she was so close to her escape she could taste it! No! She scrambled, quietly, trying to find a better place to hide -
Too late. The curtains had been drawn; the cards laid out for everyone to see.
"Alexis? Qu'est-ce que tu fais ici?"
Hopefully, someone will like it. Yes, it’s ambiguous, but isn’t that what a prologue is? Well, that’s what it is for me. Now, off to write more!
