Part III

It took him three days before he was able to see what he was searching for. It was not inside a dream anymore.

Jin visited his stepbrothers one day and when he was about to go back to the forest to try to visit Kazuya inside his dreams, he found himself walking to another place. It has been so long. Ares would soon reach his limit and Jin was sure he wouldn't be able to control him since he too lacked the strength to control his desires. They needed their lover.

Jin came to a stop when he reached a familiar place. He stood in front of one of his temples. It was a place where mortals worship him, adore him; gave sacrifices in exchange for his help. The smell of blood was heavy in the air because mortals had sacrificed animals for him, smeared their blood in a certain part of his temple. Jin didn't care. As long as it isn't the blood of an innocent human, he wouldn't care.

There was a statue of him in the center where he rode a stallion, just before the entrance to his temple. His mouth was sculpted open, preserved his image of screaming his war cry. His body assumed an offensive position, like a man would for battle.

A figure inside the temple caught his eyes. Today isn't his day of worship so why would a person be in this place? Curious, Jin walked towards the steps and invited himself inside the temple walls.

He stood frozen when he saw who was in front of him.

A few feet away from him stood Kazuya who looked elegant in his tight pants and white long-sleeved top, its first three buttons were left open that it exposed his entire chest. Almost. Half of his auburn hair was pinned on the back of his head while the other half was let loose.

Kazuya saw him then. The younger smiled sweetly at him, beckoned the god of war to come closer to him. Jin couldn't help but to return the smile that graced Kazuya's lips. He had missed seeing Kazuya looking so innocent and sweet.

"I have been wondering what took you so long to find me, my beloved..." Kazuya's eyes were sultry, that small pout on his lips made the young man look cute.

"You've blocked me from entering your dreams, my sweet." Jin answered as he put a hand up and caressed Kazuya's left cheek. "I've missed you."

"You did?" Kazuya asked. He leaned his head against the other man's chest and allowed the other to embrace him.

"I did." Jin replied, kissed the top of the younger's head.

"Tell me, Ares, do you love me?"

"You know that I do."

"Does Jin love me?"

"As Ares, I loved my sweet Aphrodite and as Jin, I loved Kazuya."

"But I and Aphrodite are one." Kazuya said, feeling Aphrodite's power overflowing inside of him. She was mad like how Kazuya was. They had been betrayed by the man they loved, by the one they held special in their heart.

"I know that. It doesn't matter who you call for. Ares would always answer if it's Aphrodite and Jin would be the one to do so if it's Kazuya."

"How much do you love me?"

"I'd give everything for you, my beloved."

"It's nice to hear you say those words to me." Kazuya leaned up and claimed Jin's lips.

They engaged themselves in a wet kiss. Their tongues fought for dominance. Their teeth nipped at each other's lips as their breaths mingled while kissing. They traced and licked each other's lips with their tongue, refusing to be dominated by the other.

It was Jin who had to pull away to catch his breath.

"That's..." Jin was still panting for his breath.

"Breathtaking. I know." Kazuya finished the sentence and smiled at the god in front of him. He gave the other a peck on the lips before he traced the curve of Jin's neck with a finger, touching the other's clavicle. Unable to resist, he placed a few light kisses on the protruding bones, nipping on the skin to which Jin gave out a satisfied moan.

"Have fun with your gift, my love." Kazuya whispered to Jin's ear who was still dazed.

The second Kazuya vanished, Jin found himself staring at the mortal woman who once became his partner.

He could remember her because she was the prettiest of all the mortals he'd ever seen. Her honey-colored hair was wavy and long that it flowed down to her waist. Her skin was fair and soft and smooth as porcelain. Her face was small, blessed with almond-shaped, green-colored eyes, a proud nose and luscious, red lips. She could be a goddess if the qualification was based on looks alone.

It was a good thing that she was not.

She became his partner because of a mistake. He thought that he fell in love with her when, in actual fact, he never really did. She played his dirty tricks on him which caused him to lose the one he loved.

The scene in front of him proved to be a disgrace to all gods and mankind.

The woman lay naked, here inside his temple, while two naked men were all over her body. Her breasts were exposed, her legs spread wide open as one of the men buried himself inside her. The other man was lost in his own pleasure as the woman performed fellatio on him. She was moaning and grunting in pleasure as the men sought gratification with the use of her body.

It was sickening.

"Be thankful that the Aphrodite in him decided to make you scream in pleasure and not in pain." he said aloud, his eyes focused on the only female.

Jin turned his back as guttural cries echoed inside his temple. It pissed him off.

The minute the three reached their peak, fire immediately consumed the whole temple, including the pathetic, dirty mortals that he left behind who had screamed when they realized what was happening. Of course, Jin won't let them escape and whispered for the fire to burn the sinners.

From his cliff, Kazuya smirked as his trusted nereid came to his aid and informed him that one of Ares' temples was turned into ashes as no one could stop the huge fire that consumed the place. Three mortals lost their lives as they were trapped inside what was once known a sacred place to the god of war.

---

He was fully awake now. Since the night he had talked with Tatsuya, the Aphrodite in him has been unleashed and Kazuya lived her spirit.

The first thing he did was to command his subjects to search for a particular mortal. His subjects proved to be efficient as they had tracked the woman who once besotted his partner after a day. Kazuya was the one to give her the punishment for desiring Jin.

Apparently, the woman knew about Ares because the god of war had helped her brothers won a critical battle. She belonged to a powerful family who needed to protect their land from being acquired by another greedy soul. She watched them fight and she knew they were the one on the losing end. Her father sought help from Ares and offered his life to the god in exchange for the favor while her brothers and their servants fought.

Her father's sacrifice had paid off. Ares gave them his blessing and the fight was over.

From then on, the woman had worshipped Ares and grew to despise Aphrodite. She would visit Ares' temple during the days of worship and profess her love to him through her songs. Aphrodite would never do that. Never. Her confidence rose when the mortals told the woman that she could replace Aphrodite's place in Ares' heart for she surpassed a mortal's beauty and she loved Ares dearly. She became ambitious. Her efforts paid off because she had the chance to be with Ares, with Jin, but now, she had to pay for what she had done.

And so, despite her beautiful face, Kazuya saw that she was a greedy person. It would be easy to lure her to his trap. He only needed to pull a few strings like the goddess Aphrodite would have done.

If he was less considerate, he would have killed her the moment he saw her. But he refused to be dirtied by that woman's blood. Instead, he made the woman fall in love with two men who looked hideous enough that no one desired them. It was entertaining to see her chase the two men around, confessing her love for them. Her brothers found a way to keep her locked but of course, Aphrodite was the goddess of love. She just couldn't let the poor girl cry for her love. That was just too harsh and yes, that was sarcasm at its best. Kazuya helped the woman escape and led her to those hideous creatures.

It was an easier task to have the woman submit herself to have sex with those men. Kazuya believed that if the woman was in the right state of mind, she would never even dare look at those ugly thieves.

Everything was an easy task because he was Aphrodite herself.

And yes, he was satisfied with his revenge.

But it wasn't enough...

---

Two weeks after that event, Kazuya decided to take a stroll along the shore. He enjoyed the company of his subjects.

A smile crossed his face as his favorite siren played a sweet melody with the use of her harp while the water licked his feet. He wanted to be in here forever, in the company of his subjects who would never dare betray him than in the beautiful, enchanted forest where he would see the man who had betrayed him.

He was too absorbed in his thoughts that he didn't see what the mermaids had brought him.

"-ya-sama,"

Before he had punished the woman, he brought her to his temple. That was where he showed himself to her. Kazuya was thrilled and exhilarated when he saw fear in her eyes. The mention of Ares and Aphrodite caused the woman to be afraid. When Kazuya had made her desire the thieves, he advised them to leave before he left his temple and water swallowed the place down. It deserved to be destroyed since it has been breached and dirtied by none other than that mortal and his unfaithful lover.

"Kazuya-sama!"

Kazuya flinched when a voice broke through his thoughts. He frowned a bit when a dozen of mermaid looked at him. His eyes gazed upon the mermaid with hair the color of chestnut. It was long, curly, and thick enough to cover her bare upper torso and her tail was in a beautiful shade of amethyst. Like other mermaids, pearls and shells adorned her head, neck, and wrists.

He was taken aback when he saw an unconscious man lying on the shore, just in front of the beautiful mermaid.

From where he stood, Kazuya could see that the man was young and beautiful. He looked strong and gentle at the same time.

"Where and how did you find him?" Kazuya asked the mermaid as he knelt down beside the man. He put up a hand and water followed his every move. It took him only a minute to clean the man and heal those little scratches and tears on the man's skin. He could only do a little of healing whereas Tat-chan could heal a whole nation in one swipe of his finger.

"She found him unconscious, splayed on a rock." a voice interrupted Kazuya. He turned to the sea and saw one of the oceanids whom he knew to be a rather cheerful and talkative water nymph. He had actually seen her babble all day long, talked animatedly with her friends.

"He was a mess. I thought he was ugly at first but now that you've cleaned him up, I must say that he's a handsome young man. And his butt! Oh, his butt~" the Oceanid sighed dreamily and dramatically.

"He has his pants on." Kazuya said.

"It's wet, Kazuya-sama. The fabric had clung to his body." the Oceanid replied, grinning at the one who owned her. Kazuya shook his head in amusement at her witty comeback. The Oceanid moved her feet in the water and played. She found it amusing yet again and soon talked to one of the mermaids about the water.

"I'll take care of him." he told his subjects who only nodded their agreement. "You can play here but please make sure that no mortal sees you. We don't know what they would do to any of you and I don't want any of you to get hurt. Do you understand?"

An echo of female voices filled the air before Kazuya walked alongside the sirens that effortlessly carried the man as their wings flapped in the air. All of his other subjects remained in the sea, playing and singing and swimming and basking under the sun's heat.

Kazuya stared at the sleeping figure in his bed. He had asked his minions to investigate about what might have happened in the sea. It was one of the sirens who flew up to his mansion and told him that a shipwreck has occurred. Kazuya said his thanks and told the beautiful, winged, human-like creature to go back to her place.

A pained groan escaped the stranger's lips and Kazuya hurried to attend to the man's needs.

The minute the boy woke up, Kazuya knew he had found a friend. The boy was a little clumsy but he was a good help around the mansion. They talked about the boy's life, his school and the fights, his friends and classmates. The boy seemed to be fond of this other boy named Ryu because the young man couldn't stop himself from talking about him.

Kazuya knew love had something to do with it.

Eventually, Kazuya found himself enjoying the company of the recovering boy who was once just a limp body brought to him by a mermaid.

---

"Yabuki Hayato?!" he screamed. "Who the hell is Yabuki Hayato?!"

"Calm down, Jin." Tatsuya said. "Kazuya had told me that this Hayato suffered an accident and he took him in so he could take care of the boy and watch over him."

"How do you expect me to calm down when he took that man inside his home when no one of us could even set a foot inside that big, stupid mansion?!" Jin growled in frustration. Kazuya had come up with a spell that prevented gods from entering the mansion that stood on the cliff. He had tried many times to breach the protective barrier but he didn't succeed. Neither one of them could.

"Stop acting like that!" Tatsuya scoffed. "It's supposed to be one in the afternoon but your mood is darkening the sky! Clear it up!"

Jin huffed and pouted but obeyed Tatsuya. The birds flew again once the sun was revealed.

"Why don't you go to him and explain? The two of you are starting to get on my nerves! Go to him and meet him at the cliff. He stays there during the night because he refuses to sleep and dream of you again. Bring him back here before the waterfall dries up!"

The waterfall was essential to the humans. It was their source of potable water. The waterfall led to many waterways in order to distribute sufficient amount of drinking water to all mankind. If Kazuya won't come back within two days, the waterfall would soon dry up. Tatsuya could buy some time with his ability to control the water element but his and Kazuya's ability are on a different level. Right now, he needed Kazuya to sustain the waterfall and he needed Jin to tell his side of the story so he could bring Kazuya back.

It was during these times that Tatsuya wished Aphrodite was Juliet instead.

"Jin, I heard from one of my puppies that he saw Kazuya and a man acting like a couple." Koki informed the already in-rage god.

Yuichi turned to Jin next. "One of my sylphs told me that while he was arranging the clouds, he saw Kazuya introducing this boy to the mermaid who had saved him. The sirens also came to his aid when this boy fell accidentally from the cliff. My sylph thinks that this boy was clumsy." he said while he petted his phoenix that was perched on his forearm.

"Kazuya must have taken a liking to this mortal if he had allowed the boy to see his subjects." Junno spoke before he popped a grape inside his mouth, chewed then swallowed. "It's not impossible that the boy had already fallen for him. Kazuya is Aphrodite and men tend to fall in love with her, rather him, at first sight."

Jin found himself boiling in anger, jealousy rushing through his every vein. It was pissing him off. He hadn't seen Kazuya for exactly almost a month now and the news about him and this Hayato was taking its toll on him. Ares won't give up Aphrodite that easily and Jin isn't going to give up Kazuya. He'd lost him once. He never wanted it to happen ever again.

Jin made up his mind. Kazuya would be his tonight.
