"What do you mean gone?!" Jin couldn't help but to scowl at the middle-aged man who just brought them bad news.

Manager-san looked at him with an incredulous look on his face. Having doubts, the man thought for a while if he should tell the group where their beloved Kamenashi was.

Coming to a decision, "He went on hiatus, Akanishi-san." he finally said.

All of the band members stared and frowned. What Kame had done left a big gaping hole. They thought everything was fine. If so, how come Kame did such thing? He left them hanging, with not as much of a reason why he left or why he had to go on hiatus.

"For how long?" Tatsuya asked as Nakamaru came close to Jin to calm him down. Jin was cold and numb inside him, knew very well that he was the reason for Kazuya's leaving.

"For an indefinite time, I guess. He suddenly came to Johnny-san's office one day. The boss called me and Kamenashi said his piece. Johnny wouldn't have agreed but Kamenashi gave him a choice, let him go on hiatus or he'll submit his resignation letter." Manager-san informed the group in front of him. The bond between these young males was what had kept their band going, not to mention how these young males possessed looks that could definitely lure the women's, and men's in some cases, attention.

And of course, there would always be that issue of the two lead singers being involved into a romantic relationship with each other. That, manager-san, did not know. If ever Akame was really real, then he was just happy for them. He just doesn’t know if the fans would love the news though.

"How come we were not told about it?" Junno asked, interrupted the man who was deep inside his thoughts.

"That, I cannot answer, Taguchi-san." the manager voiced out and muttered an apology to which the entire member said 'it's alright' except for one devastated man.

Their manager then turned his back to leave the five males, "There's a big possibility of him not returning," he said with a calm voice, "I wouldn't want you to be waiting for him. Johnny-san wouldn't like that as well. You have to be productive and Johnny-san had made a good line up for you." were the manager's last words as he pulled open the door to leave.

---

Kazuya took a deep breath, savored the familiar breeze only his own country could offer.

A much-needed time off was what he needed. His work, his contracts, his life; all had become a bit much for him to handle. He needed to breathe, to know how to live again, to not cling and depend on one certain man.

It had been six months since he went to Johnny-san's office, asked, rather demanded, for a break.

Six long months.

He told himself he would move forward, go on and continue with his life. He will be happy, he would be. He held no grudges, he had learned to let go. The other male had set him free despite the both of them never wanting to.

He thought he would be fine after everything. Kazuya had his rest; he had lived away from everyone he loved.

He thought he was doing okay.

However, all those thoughts were rubbish. With him inhaling this familiar cool breeze, with him seeing all those posters of his and his co-members and with him having to shy away from screaming fans welcoming his return, he had come to realize that he wasn't able to move on.

He would never be able to.

Despite that, he was just happy to be back. His return had been announced two weeks ago and he was just glad for having this warm welcome.

How was Jin doing, he wondered as he sat at the backseat of a heavily tinted car. Jin must've had a handsome child, he thought and Kazuya smiled bitterly, shook his head slightly.

Running away from his problem somehow did him good. He was able to pick up the pieces of his shattered heart, of his broken life. The thought made him smile.

It made him smile even for just a little bit.

With his return, he would continue from where he had left off.

It was time to move on.

---

Jin had worked his ass off not knowing what happened to Kazuya.

Six months. Six fucking months and he hadn't heard any news about Kazuya.

He now knew how Kazuya felt like when he was gone, when he went overseas with an excuse of studying. Jin chuckled bitterly. The agency had circulated the news that he was sent off to the States to study a foreign language but reports of him clubbing and partying, meeting people greeted Japan.

Studying was never the reason.

It was horrible. Kazuya must've felt horrible when he, Jin, left their own country just so they could keep the rumours down. People could really get nosy that they tend to forget that they, idols and famous people, are also humans who need to have a life. Maybe, at some point, he and Kazuya were also to be blamed because their actions had given way too much of the relationship they were trying to keep.

A movie, a solo concert tour; his dreams were coming true one by one.

A child and a family of his own were the only thing lacking in his supposedly complete life.

He thought he was already going to be a father and settle down; build a family he was going to be proud of, his ultimate dream.

His name was known all over Japan, he had paid it with the sacrifices he had to make. He was valued, admired and yearned for by everyone. He was offered more projects. He was respected by the juniors in their agency. Clubs were giving him VIP access just so he could grace the place and have more customers coming in. The women were literally throwing themselves at his feet.

It was all a part of his dream. He was an ambitious man and he worked hard to get it.

But where was the person he loved when he so wanted to celebrate his victory?

Kazuya's hiatus had made everyone go crazy. The band and the jimusho were bombarded by never ending questions of why, where and how.

If not for his better sense, he, Akanishi Jin, would've done something stupid just so nosy people could stop.

---

A step forward and Kazuya smiled as he was greeted by the familiar paint, walls, and that homey feel the Jimusho could give him. The juniors were running about the empty hallway while some danced and practiced hip rolls and Kazuya could only laugh slightly at the sight.

He knew one person who could do the move perfectly well.

Whenever Jin does the hip rolls, he, Kazuya, couldn't stop but stare at the man as he swirled his hips in a sexy fashion that made Kazuya want to jump the elder man because of that.

But that was all in the past now.

He was back. One last free week, and now he was here, ready to work again and build his life.

"Kazuya..." he heard someone call his name.

The young male stiffened and he felt his breath hitch. He didn't dare turn around. Instead, he kept his gaze focused on the kids who were dancing and laughing.

Ironic. A few feet away from him, he knew Jin was standing and staring at him and not far away, a room filled with a bunch of playful youngsters were enjoying their practice.

Jin and children. Fate could really be a mean enemy.

Today, if the situation permits them to, he would have to face Jin again after being away for so many months.

Frankly speaking, Jin isn't the sole reason for his hiatus. Firstly, work had been exhausting him, he loved it, but it could really get difficult and demanding at times. Secondly, Jin getting someone pregnant was not really his cup of tea. Basically, everything that involved himself mattered.

Should he face the other male? What for when they have already finished everything between them?

Jin has his family now.

Johnny-san was really good to still accept the man under his wings, his protection and guidance, Kazuya thought, his back still facing Jin.

"Kazuya?" another male voice echoed and Kazuya knew it very well.

"Kazu, you're back! Why didn't you call me so I could pick you up?" a gleeful voice broke the awkward silence that had formed between Kazuya and Jin's presence.

"It's alright, Uchi." Kazuya chuckled when the newcomer hugged him to no end.

Uchi was here. Uchi had become close to him along with Tegoshi. They were no longer mere acquiantances like before. They were friends now, a degree closer to being intimate.

Uchi had seen through him. He recognized and acknowledged his presence like how Jin did back then.

And he was happy.

"I missed you, Kazu!" Uchi continued and brushed the stray hair that had blocked his view of Kazuya's face.

Kazuya laughed slightly. "You always miss me, Uchi-kun." he teased and playfully punched Uchi's arm. "You've grown taller and your hair suits you." he complimented when Uchi told him that he, Kazuya, got fairer and "prettier." Kazuya's melodic laughter rang in the hallway when he heard the word pretty.

Instead of feeling annoyed, being called pretty brought him nice memories of the past.

Jin was the first person to call him pretty. A pretty male, Jin clarified when he, Kazuya, glared at his lover that night. Since then, Kazuya grew accustomed to being coined as such.

It was not much of a bother anyway.

A turn of his head to the side and Kazuya had swallowed a lump that formed on his throat when he saw his former lover wipe something away from his eyes.

Was he crying? Did Jin just shed tears?

Kazuya shook his head slightly. Jin would not cry. He would not cry because of him. If he did, Kazuya was convinced that it was because Jin was just happy to see him again.

Jin's dreams were becoming a reality. He doesn't have any reason to feel depressed. It was just sad that he was not a part of any of it, of any of Jin's success.

Kazuya might have been. He could have been a part of it, but things just didn't go the way one wanted it to.

---

"Here." Pi muttered and threw Jin a can of beer.

Jin stared at the cold beer in his hand and chuckled bitterly. "Uchi, huh?"

"What?"

"He'd chosen Uchi." Jin said after he drank half of the bitter liquid.

"Who?"

Silence greeted Pi and all he could do was to sigh. He knew whom his best friend was talking about. It would always be that one pretty male, asides Tegoshi and Tat-chan, who could make Jin go crazy.

"He wouldn't have if only you were faithful. You said you wanted a family of your own, you wanted a child of your own. Kazuya loved you as much as you loved him. You were happy but sadly, he could not grant you your dreams. You let him go, right?"

"I did. But that was because I didn't know the real truth about things."

"You could've asked your manager. He might've allowed you to go to Kame-chan's and have a talk with him when he was still on his hiatus."

Jin shrugged and emptied his seventh can of beer for that night. He felt his head getting light and soon, he was asking his best friend things he already knew about.

"Have you ever fallen in love?"

Pi raised a brow. "You know that I did."

"Were you happy?"

"I was and I still am."

"But he cannot give you your own family. You can't have a child with him. Don't you want a family of your own?" Jin asked with slurred speech.

Yamapi looked thoughtful. "Unlike you, I was never vocal about it. Besides, I'm satisfied with the way things are going. He is my family." he replied, thinking of his partner was enough to keep him smiling. With all kinds of pressure being brought to him, Yamapi had kept himself sane thanks to Toma who had never left his side. They do fight at times but they know when and who to apologize when one had caused the petty quarrel.

"I want him back." Jin declared out of the blue.

"Does he know?" Pi asked his best friend. Jin had never been good when it comes to affairs of the heart. If not for that pretty male, Jin would be forever lost in the thing called love.

Trust Jin to always need Kazuya by his side.

"Fuck that Uchi!" Jin exclaimed and threw his can somewhere to which Yamapi just rolled his eyes. He saw Jin reach for his pack of cigarette and lit one up to relieve the tension that was building up inside Pi's best friend.

Minutes had passed and Jin kept on cursing one of Pi's former band mates. Shaking his head, Pi dialed a familiar number and luckily, the other line started ringing.

He smiled when he heard that soft, melodic voice say hello.

"Listen." was all Pi uttered and placed the phone near his sullen friend.

"I still love him, Pi. But he has Uchi now."

"And?" Pi urged, knowing very well that the person on the other line was listening.

"I want him back. No. I need him back." Jin had sobbed.

"Does Kame-chan know that you are not the child's father, Jin?"

---

Kazuya's breathing stopped.

What was the question again? Damn Yamapi for calling him up for this utter non-sense! To hear Jin and father in one sentence made Kazuya want to strangle Yamapi until the man could no longer breathe, he'll just tell Toma-kun that Pi died happy when Pi saw his friend, Shuji-kun.

"No..." a whisper came and Kazuya frowned slightly.

That was a joke, Kazuya thought. Jin got a woman pregnant, he admitted so himself.

"No." Jin's voice was firm. "He doesn't know that I am not the father of the child."

Pi smiled. Kazuya gaped. Jin was still silently sobbing.

"You heard him, right, Shuji-kun?" Pi said a bit loudly.

Jin glared at his friend. Kazuya is Shuji.

"Kazu is not here. So Shuji isn't here!" Jin scowled at his friend who simply ignored him.

Pi gave the phone to Jin who looked at him questioningly.

"Come to me, Jin."

It was Kazuya's voice. It was sweet, emotional and beckoning. It was as if Kazuya was talking to him in one of Jin's dreams. Not only once was he haunted by Kazuya's saddened face, to hear him speak to him now felt impossible.

"Kazu...?"

"Yes, baby. I am here."

"Are you really?" Jin asked again, doubtful.

"Yes, Jin. I will be waiting." then the line went dead.

He would wait. Kazuya had always understood.

And yes, he still loved him after everything. Both of them still loved each other.

---

Baby. Jin grinned idiotically when he heard Kazuya say that word. It always sounded so sweet whenever the younger male called him with that simple endearment.

"Come on. I know he's waiting. I'll drive you to his place."

Without further ado, Jin stood up and tried to get himself out of the daze the spirit of alcohol gave him.

He was happy, elated and blissful.

Kazuya's love was not only forgiving, it was also understanding.

And it was all for him. Kamenashi Kazuya's love is only for Akanishi Jin.

They belong together.

---

Kazuya opened his door and was quite surprised when he felt arms wrap around his frame in just a matter of seconds.

"Kazu..." the older male sobbed after Kazuya had closed his door when he's done waving goodbye to Pi.

"Jin, it's alright." he cooed as his hand moved to comfort the crying man.

"I thought I've lost you. For six months, I was like a crazy person looking and searching for you. Why did you do that without telling me?"

Explain. That was what Jin was aking him to do and Kazuya knew he had to.
Kazuya rested his back against the cold wall and Jin cornered him between his arms.

Kazuya heaved a deep sigh. "I had to, Jin. If I did not, you would only be confused. You will stay with me and leave her side. I don't want that, Jin."

"Why?"

"I let you go because I love you..." Kazuya's voice was laced with hurt.

Jin caressed Kazuya's left cheek. "It was a mistake, Kazu. I am not the child's father." he whispered.

"I heard." Kazuya smiled as he stared at Jin's eyes. They were lovely, he thought. "How come?"

"She told me. Nothing really happened between us." the older male explained and allowed Kazuya to dry his tears.

The younger male smiled. "That's good then. But what about your dreams?"

"As long as you are with me, I know I will be fine." Jin returned the smile.

Kazuya wrapped his hands around Jin's neck and pressed his nose to Jin's own, all the while looking straight into Jin's dark eyes.

"You are completely aware that I am not able to bear you a child, ne, Jin?"

"I am. But I love you just the same." Jin smiled through his tears and Kazuya just had to peck Jin's lips for being so sweet at the moment. It was rare to have Jin so vulnerable and thoughtful, and sweet like this all at the same time.

"Uchi."

"Hmm?" Kazuya mumbled, his fingers caressed Jin's nape.

"Are you an item now?"

"He's only a friend, baby. You don't have to be jealous." Kazuya chuckled, knowing very well what was eating his lover up.

Jin laughed slightly. "I can't help it. You always awaken the possessive boyfriend that's hiding inside me." a pause and, "You kept the lights on?"

"Because I wanted to see you. I missed your face, your eyes, your mole, your proud nose and your pouty lips. I haven't seen you for six months, Jin, but your image was engraved in my memory. I just wanted to see if anything had changed."

Jin leaned closer to the younger man and Kazuya wrinkled his nose. "You reek of alcohol."

"Oh, sorry about that." the older male apologized and pulled away only to frown when Kazuya pulled him closer.

"Stay. It smells nice on you." a playful smile tugged on the younger's lips.

"I love you." they whispered in unison before Jin's lips descended on Kazuya's own. It was finally over. They have said goodbye to the past and they are more than happy to do so.

A moment later, Kazuya was chuckling when Jin dragged him to his bathroom.

Oh, he knows that they will do more than just to shower.

Kazuya was not one to complain though, only that Jin's little buddies wouldn't have a mature egg to fertilize. The younger male's childish thoughts changed into something more inappropriate when he felt something poking his tummy.

Here goes another round of loving and limping, the younger of the two sheepishly thought before he allowed himself to surrender to his lover's wants and needs, Jin told him that. Jin said before, somewhere in the past, that the act of making love is one of the older male's right and also a part of his physiologic needs that Kazuya shouldn't deprive him of.

Expect Jin to always find a solution to have his way with his Kazuya and Kazuya let his lover be. As long as his life was connected to Jin's, in one way or another, he was fine with it.

Indeed, Jin had said goodbye to some of his dreams but was willing to dream more with Kazuya by his side.
