You know how sometimes people on your friend's list post about stuff going on in their life, and all of a sudden you think "Wait a minute? Since when are they working THERE? Since when are they dating HIM/HER? since when???" And then you wonder how you could have missed all that seemingly pretty standard information, but somehow you feel too ashamed to ask for clarification because it seems like info you *should* already know? It happens to all of us sometimes.

1. First Name: Isabelle. I prefer to go by Isa. I hate other people spelling my name incorrectly. Tho i don't mind the different spellings of Isabelle on other people. But what the heck is up with some people calling me 'Elizabeth'.??
2. Age: 19. Turning 20 in November. My last year as a 'teenager'. I'm scared but happy too.
3. Location: Uh, my address is split up between Sydney and my uni town in Australia.
4. Occupation: Student. Majoring in French.
5. Partner: None.
6. Kids: No, thank you. I entertain the idea from time to time....but no. Not right now. Marriage neither.
7. Brothers/Sisters: Nicolas, 21. He's the musical, mathsy, engineeering type. He's disorgannised as hell, can't go by a watch...etc etc.
8. Pets: One. A Golden Retriever who's name is Furball. No kidding.
9. List the 3-5 biggest things going on in your life:
-Figuring out my degree choices.
-Figuring out my identity -- Third Culture Kid style!
- Figuring out where my home is. Recently, i've come to .... entertain the idea without hating it that i won't ever really feel at 'home' anywhere in the world. It's a state of mind for me -- its where my dad is. Since he can't move out of Australia but i can't stay... i'm a TCK or a global nomad. It's how i was born.
- To cut my hair or not? What colour shall i dye it this time??
10. Where and for what did you go to school for?: A crap Aust. private school for girls. I've graduated and now am in my second year of uni.
Sometimes, i regret not taking a gap year to travel. But looking back, i realise tat it wld have made me more depressed upon the return. As i would become the hidden immigrant again overseas, look forward to coming back to see friends and family...and then get depressed again because no one understands that apart from those other TCKs.
11. Parents: My mother is a producer/whatever else and makes documentaries both freelance amd conscripted. My father makes hos own wine and is a film producer.
12. Who are some of your closest friends?: My school group, and my uni group. I'd say Daniela of the uni group. And Sam -- even tho we don't see each other often when we do it's like no time has passed. :-0)

Addendum (other things you should know about me):
I like cheese. I love good French baguettes. I love jam and butter as well as peanut butter and jam sandwiches. I only grew to like/tolerate vegemite when i was 19.
I was born in LA to an Aust father and Mauriian mother which made me face many identity isues which have culminated in realising that i'm a Third Culture Kid and proud of it! :-)
