(no subject)
It’s been a while.
So, I started student teaching 4 weeks ago, and I am loving it! I’m in kindergarten right now, and its crazy. Before I started student teaching, I was adamant that I would not teach kindergarten no matter how much they paid me. Yeah, foot in mouth and all that. I love kindergarten. No matter how tired I am when I leave, I still love getting up and going that next day. We’ll see how 3rd grade is, when I go there in 3 weeks. I’m looking forward to that as well. Its nice applying everything Iv had shoved down my throat for the past 3 years.
I’ve started looking at different school districts. It’s really confusing, but I want to look at as many as I can, so I can at least be semi-informed when I start applying in a few weeks. If any of you know anything about school districts around the Dallas Fort Worth area (not Dallas or forth worth…) or around the Austin area, let me know.
On a more fun note, I’ve seen some great movies lately. Dreamgirls was fantastic. I absolutely loved that one, and I would recommend Little Miss Sunshine to anyone out there. I don’t remember ever having laughed that hard. I also have started working out. I walk a little more than 2 miles Monday-Friday. Ifs its raining, I do a dance work out DVD. Tiffany and I hold each other accountable. It’s kinda nice- we go everyday, right after student teaching and talk and gripe about our day. I feel like I have more energy.
In ironic news, Tiffany’s fiancé used to live in Killeen when we were in elementary school, and my sister used to baby-sit for him.
I really can’t think of much else…. I’ll work on writing more.
