(no subject)
This semester has been madness!!! I absolutely love my job. I wish there was some way that I could work with the same kids this summer, but they switch around the assistants every semester or something. They are so sweet and I have so much fun working with them. Interning is fun. I don’t much like having 3 other interns in the room…they are all incredibly nice, but when I had to make up a day Friday, and I was the only intern there, I realized that I get to do so much more when there aren’t 3 other people there.
This week, Tiffany and I missed Wednesday to go home for the day to visit moms school. She had the author Susan Stevens Crummel come visit the school and sign books for all of the kids. We watched her give three presentations…It was absolutely amazing. I got 2 books signed. “The Dish Ran Away With the Spoon” and “The Great Fuzz Frenzy.” Very cute books.
My parents are picking me up tomorrow morning and we are going to Savannah, Georgia. We are going just to sightsee, etc. We are going on the Paula Dean tour (we love food network…) and some other ones. I am trying to convince them to let me go on a ghost story thing….cross your fingers. We’ll spend Monday-Thursday there and then we are stopping in Mississippi on the way back and then I think I will be back here on Saturday. My parents and I get along really well, but I’m kinda worried about spending like 4 straight days in a car together…I really don’t feel like hearing the “where do you plan on moving after you graduate” talk anymore. I just don’t know and I’m sick of hearing it.
In other news, I turned in an application for a one bedroom apt at Sunridge. I can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel to get out of this living arrangement. Im so excited… I have things planned out. I know how I’m going to decorate. It is going to be so much fun!! I think I have figured out a cheap way to make a slip cover. Not that my couch looks bad. Its just 14 years old…But I think I am going to cover it in black and make my living room colors black and purple. A purple slip cover will add the splash of color that the room will need with my black white pictures. I am considering decopaging my picture frames in there with sheets of music. I think it would look cool.
Anyways…mom and dad are almost here, so I need to do some last min. cleaning…
