recipies: not just guidelines to be handwaved away

...speaking of things not staying together the way they should*, now I understand why every quiche recipe ever tells you to put the damn thing on a cookie sheet before trying to bake it. There is egg all over the cookie tray and very little left in the pie shell. Perhaps next time I'll actually follow the recipe and not just free-hand the vegetables? Whoops.

Bested by egg pie, alas.

The one that has no vegetables, on the other hand, is turning out remarkably well. Swiss cheese and crab for the win.

(*seriously, though, I don't think I've been this fannishly affected or upset since Sirius Black fell through the curtain. Overinvestment, much?)
