Helpful hint: Bothering the hell out of people sometimes means that your internet comes back. Sometimes it takes a month and a whole lot of dumb tech support people, but when your internet is back and it is fast and you are able to download things and talk on MSN and wallow around in babyfic, all the unpleasantness fades into the back of your mind, and all is well.
That said: YAY INTERNETS. I knock on all kinds of wood that it's for good this time.
Now, on to less mundane things. The last time I updated, I was hoping to hear that I'd gotten a promotion at work. Well, I got it! PAY-RAISE, hi. Today was my first time running a shift, and apart from one tiny mishap from last night's crew that I got to deal with for two hours (FUN), it went smoothly. People had their breaks at decent times, the customer flow was steady but not overwhelming, I didn't have two-hundred degree water poured over my hand. (As opposed to say, yesterday, when all of that was the opposite. Whatever.) I think I'm going to make a good shift, once I've gotten the hang of everything. And then someday I'll be a good assistant manager. And then manager. And then I'll take over the world, the end.
The Narnia series thing I'm doing at church is getting massively awesome response. There's buzz about it. Like, people saying the scenes aren't long enough, and talking about what's going to happen next week and stuff. It warms my shrivelled black heart to hear it. And suddenly, I'm meeting all sorts of people; they want to see the genius behind it all, bwahaha. I tell them that CS Lewis is dead; I'm just his stand-in. Most of them laugh politely when I say it. Sometimes I really like people.
Um, what else?
For some reason, iTunes has stopped working when I am logged in on the main computer. It works fine when E is logged in, but alas, I am unable to listen to Justin Timberlake's finest. Sadface. Perhaps I can find it streaming somewhere? Hmmmm.
Okay, babies. My "Gimme a holiday card, hor!" post is
here, so you can still do that. I haven't sent any out yet (no internet = no addresses!) but they should be going into the mail tomorrow or the day after. Or, um, next week. Sometime! Before Christmas! I hope.
