(no subject)
Okay, so. Yesterday I was completely emo until I'd been at work for about five minutes, at which point something in my brain snapped back into place and I was happy again. It was un peu bizzarre, but I went with it, because happy > emo. I made a decision to take a book with me and read on my breaks, and I did, and it felt good. And I had some good intellectual talk with TW, who's an English/Philosophy major, and on whom I have a massive, nerdy crush even though he is only nineteen and has a girlfriend, WTF. But! He has Padalecki-style dimples, and the most gorgeous curly hair ever, and perfect teeth and he used to play rugby, which, HOT, okay? That, and, I've finally decided to be over and done with S, which has helped my mental state so much already, it's amazing. (This is due, entirely, to starstillwonder, who kinda rules more than words can convey.)
And then today! Today I am sunshine and lollipops, and I've cleaned my room and finally finally finished unpacking all my boxes (two! months! later!) and Mama Geek is on her way over to my house for tea and company, and then some hardcore grocery shopping, and then, oh! and then. I am making manicotti and lemon fluff for dinner, and we have wine (which I stole after The Wedding, with permission) and all is well.
Then, tomorrow, I get off work early enough to watch Grey's Anatomy and Supernatural, which is SO AWESOME I CANNOT EVEN, since that has happened only once since I moved here.
ALSO: Yesterday, a new posting went up for a shift supervisor at my store, and I am jumping all over that. That extra buck every hour will add up; I may even be able to afford Christmas presents for my family! V. Exciting. On the other hand, if I don't actually get promoted, I get to look for a second job, WOO HOO. Or my family will for real not get anything, except for my little brother, whose present I bought back in August, when I had money.
ALSO ALSO: We are talking about having a housewaming party in November. YOU ARE ALL INVITED.
To conclude: Yesterday is over and done! Life is good! Onward and upward! And all that.
