I think today wins, hands down, for one of the best days off ever. Honestly. The first nine hours of it were spent asleep, and then there was a little breakfast, a little deciding that I had enough food to last me until the weekend (which is an absolute lie, I just didn't want to walk to the store earlier; I may go in a little bit), followed by a heckuva lot of making and writing thank you cards while watching S1 of Gilmore Girls. I've seen the first two disks, and, oh JARED. You make my heart all skippity.

And there was pizza somewhere in the middle.

The weirdest thing about days off, though? People call me when I'm home. Like. I was gone for three days, and there were five messages on my phone, one of which was a hangup and three of which were faxes trying to come through, so they mostly sounded like Ringwraiths screeching directly into my ear. I'm home for a full day, though? I got two aborted faxes, a wrong number, a telemarketer, and one of the doctors calling to ask if I could come in on Friday morning. Same number of calls, one third of the time. Bizarre.

Right, so. Supper, groceries, dyeing my hair, calling home to find out what's going on with the car and to tell Mama-Geek that I won't be home for longer than, oh, four hours? on Saturday, a little bit of reading, and then bed. Yes. I'd say it's been a damn good day.
