I was reborn yesterday completely unaware
Waves not crashing, but gently brushing the shore
To this I paid no matter, how the waves behave
Avoiding the water was my only aim
I dashed and ran, barely dodging the frigid touch
The sand then beckoned me, begged to be molded
For no apparent reason I dug, dug a magical hole
To those other than myself I was simply a fool
Children play in the sand, kids run from waves
The grown reminisce about the child's ambition
Child's creativity and honesty
I looked a fool, but regained what others desire
For one day, run from the waves and play in the sand
Be reborn and look through a child's eyes
