I had been meaning to make Lewis icons for a while now, but after watching the series finale I was really disappointed with Hathaway's character arc. It really bothered and disappointed me.
I found this comm where you rewatch and icon at same time. I figure it's a good way to get over this block... maybe. So, yeah, I'll be making lots of icons! At least a few per episode.
I knew you'd be excited and I wanted to say something, but then I didn't want to make a big deal of it. Anyways, if you want to hear my rambling thoughts as I rewatch (and maybe comment?), I'll include the links to the original posts when I post my icons.
I would love to read your rambling thoughts as you rewatch. And I probably will comment. Jessica and I were going to do a rewatch, partly because the person I'm currently obsessed with was in an early episode and partly in preparation for the new episodes. Which... I'm glad there will be new eps, because the series finale disappointed me as well.
I'm going to be taking a few of these icons too, btw. They're really lovely.
OMG, LEWIS IS COMING BACK. How did I not know this??? It'll be airing on PBS in Pct., which means I can get my hands on it a lot soon.
CAN'T WAIT.
Interesting... I didn't know anyone else was unhappy with the previous season. On one hand, I like that Hathaway has Lewis now, but on the other, I fee like Hathaway's arc was sooo... sad. I know not everyone ends up happy, but STILL.
I was hoping my rewatch would help me resign myself to the fact of Hathaway's ending, but now it'll just be in preparation for the new series.
A NEW SERIES. YESSSSSSSSSSS.
I remember the Tom Riley ep. He was really good in it.
Thank you! Some, obviously, turned out better than others. :P
I don't know, but I am beyond excited. I always felt like Hathaway's arc was overly sad... throughout the series, I kept hoping something would let up for him, and it just gets worse and worse. The final season made me incredibly sad, and knowing that we get another shot at something better makes me hopeful, I hope rightly so.
Tom Riley was so amazing in his ep, which I found otherwise a little boring. I think my favorite ep to go back and rewatch in terms of the guest star is the Tom Mison/Katia Winter one, which is just beyond amazing. I don't know that the appropriate response is to laugh at the end when you're learning who the killer was and what their motive is, but I just... can't help it with that particular episode. It's so out there.
Random, but this conversation also has me interested in going back to rewatch Tom Mison's episode of Poirot and Tom Riley's episodes of both Poirot and Marple.
YOU. MADE. LEWIS. ICONS.
*HUGS YOU AN INAPPROPRIATE AMOUNT*
