Comment to this post with a request for a letter, and I will bestow upon you the object of your petition, selected most randomly. So lettered, in your journal you shall then be called upon to construct a listing of 10 of your favourite songs, the titles of which, omitting articles, begin with that letter.
thestoryiswrong gave me L!
Ok, here goes: (in no particular order)
1. Love in the Lies, by Amos Lee. It's so calm and relaxing and it's one of those songs I love to sing along with.
2. Lonestar, by Norah Jones. I love playing this song on the piano, it's one of those nice, comfy jazz songs that is right in my singing range.
3. Love, sung by Nat King Cole. It reminds me of the Parent Trap and I love that movie. And I love Nat King Cole's voice. It's extremely comforting. This is one of those songs that will always make me happy.
4. Landed, by Ben Folds. Awesome piano in this song and also fun to sing. Really hard to play, which makes me quite aware of just how talented Ben Folds is.
5. Last Request, by Paolo Nutini. I love his voice and this song is a current favorite of mine, as well as a new discovery. It makes me long to be held by somebody.
6. Lazarus, by Porcupine Tree. This is also a new discovery and the piano part in it is really good. I'm not really sure what the meaning behind this song is, but it feels like something really deep and comforting. Plus it's a good jam. To me anyway. :)
7. Levon, by Elton John. I've sort of grown away from Elton John for various reasons, mostly because I kinda got tired of him, but this song I will always enjoy listening and singing to. The piano is great. I have no idea what it's about, but I love singing it.
8. Live in a Hiding Place, by Idlewild. This is just a great song. Period.
9. Love You I Do, from DreamGirls. This song is always guaranteed to make me smile. It's just so happy.
10. Lullabye (Goodnight My Angel), by Billy Joel. This song reminds me of my dad. He would always come and stand behind me and sing while I played it on the piano. Plus two really cute boys sang it at SU in two-part harmony, acapella, and it melted my heart.
