No cut away today cuz this review is going to be short. Two reasons why:
1. I loved the ep and yet don't have much to say.
2. I threw my back out the other day and am at home for the second time this week. I'm in a lot of pain, so I just don't have the luxury of sitting (or standing, or lying down) for long periods of time :-P

So I loved this ep immensely :) Was it anything special? No, but it felt like an old school Supernatural monster ep, which were always my faves to watch :) There was banter, from comically small coffee cups in giant hands to Dean apologizing to Sam for interrupting his cougar time. There were shout outs to past events, like recalling Bobby's peculiar love for Tori Spelling, hehe. Even the monster was one we've dealt with before--a shifter, but with a new twist in having been loved but locked up in a secret attic. Creepy, but cool for the story :) And they even gave us some Bob Seger at the end. Love that they're getting more classic rock in the Show once again.

Speaking of music, how awesome was the score this week? It was Sherlock Holmes (RDJ version) meets Poirot on PBS Mystery! Loved it, loved it, LOVED it :) And all the Clue references were fun, of course--Colonel Mustard, secret passages, and all the different weapons from the game were either shown or used in the ep. To wit: The rope and lead pipe were in the passageway, the wrench was in the entry to the servant quarters, the knife, of course, was with the not-quite-silverware, the candlestick was in the room where Dean caught the secret lovers, and the revolver was in the security room. Well done, Show! Lol, now I really want to play Clue. Always loved that game. Was really good at it, too. Did you know that in the UK, it's called Cluedo (long 'o,' like in Pluto)? It's true. Maybe some of my UK friends could tell me why :) Probably just a difference in pop culture. But there's your little fun fact for the day :)

Finally, I'm very glad to see the Mark of Cain brought up again at the end. I'm also glad Sam is worried. I'm also also glad that Dean is, too; you could tell he didn't want to talk about it, much less think about it, because he's scared of what it means. I feel some yummy angst coming on... :)

Ok, back pain says it's time to stop, and so I shall. What did YOU think of the episode?

this just in, squeeeeee!, thinky thoughts, supernatural
