Holy "LOST," Batman!
Didn't sleep much last night--was too busy gluing my brain back together after my MIND WAS BLOWN AWAY by Lost. Anyone want to talk about what it all means? I suppose I'd better put in a cut for those that haven't seen the crazy finale yet...
Already hearing different ideas on we saw, but this is my interpretation. I believe, based on what Jack's dad said about everything that happened to Jack was real, that the island stuff itself was real. All of it. And the flash sideways this season were looking at the souls in purgatory--the place, again as Christian said, that they created for themselves so they could all be together again. So Hurley and Ben lived out their lives on the island, and Kate and the others that made it off the island on the plane lived out THEIR lives and later died, and then they all met up in Purgatory until everyone was assembled. There was no "now" in Purgatory, so it doesn't matter who died when or where. They're all together now and ready to go to the light. And dammit, that made me cry. I hate when TV makes me cry!
So that's my view. I know a lot of people think that the island itself was purgatory all along, but then how do you explain the flash-sideways then? Huh? Riddle me that, beeyotches!
Okay, lotta work today so I gotta go. But let me know what you think! i just can't believe this amazing show is over. But wow, what a great way to go out :)
