D-Day, zero hour, scared of cremation

PJS: I have a problem with tanning beds. I've only attempted using a tanning bed once, and I got all claustrophobic and kept thinking of that damn scene in Diamonds Are Forever, when James Bond is trapped in the coffin in the crematorium. Needless to say, I haven't gone back.

Until today.

I have a wedding to go to this weekend, and my skin is so white, it's nearly transparent. And since I don't have time (much less a decent place) to lay out in the next two days, I've decided to bite the bullet and try and get a little color in my cheeks/legs/everywhere. And yes, I know I'm not going to get super tan in just two sessions, but still. If I can at least darken to normal white, that would be something, y'know?

And I'm going to try the stand-up booth this time, so maybe it will go okay. And no, I'm not going to try one of those damn spray things--I'll always think of that Friends episode with Ross whenever someone brings that option up. So it's either this or nothing. Wish me luck. I'm already nervous.
