Whenever we get together with family or friends now, they ask how the book is going. I invariably answer, "It's going".
It's January. I've been editing this particular version of the monster for 10 months now. I'm so ready for it to be done.

*hugs* It's like when people ask how it's going, in the morning, when I'm at work. I typically answer "it's going" or "I'm here" because it's like they don't want to hear the truth and if I'm feeling like crap I'm not going to say "I'm great!" because bleh.
So at least they're showing curiosity about your book, but I would imagine after this long of writing and then editing, you'd rather not have to answer. But that's one of the downsides of trying to edit your own creation, as well as keeping up with doing other things on top of it. It's going to take some time.
You know, after spending all that time of printing (double sided thank you very much) your book, and putting it in a 3 ring binder... Mom still has it?! She was going to read it first, and I don't know what she did with it. *snort* And thus why you didn't get any editing thoughts from me... and now that you're editing, I'd rather wait until you're done to read it!
Either way, I'd totally bug the postal service, and find out what they did with your nifty bracelets, because damn it, I think they lost mine and Mom's too! *shakes fist*
