Why I don't watch television anymore

Okay, I could write a whole book on the reasons I gave up television, but here's another good example.
The drive to cut costs ultimately fucks everything up. What we've seen in the last 5 years on TV essentially amounts to "how do we kill time for $5 an hour"?

The absolute masters of this are working at the Cartoon Network, where they provided such sublime examples of nearly dead air in the form of "Space Ghost Coast To Coast", "Cartoon Planet", "Aqua Teen Hunger Force", and the first 2 seasons of "Sealab 2021".

Now everybody thinks they can kill time with recycled footage. VH1, the other video network that no longer shows videos, has been using this formula (or at least they were back when I was still flipping channels) for quite some time now. Do an interview with Celebrity X where you ask them questions that give you material for at least a dozen shows.

Now they've got an even better programming idea. Take all the shit that their friends forward them on the internet and just put it on the screen.

Come on, guys. At least TRY to create something.

Perhaps we can take advantage of this by sending them lots of links to really awful stuff in an attempt to drive them off the air?
