Nathan Moment
This is what it's like raising my 7 year old son. The following exchange occurred at bedtime just now:
him: (mischevious tone) Daddy? What's two times two times six times eight times ten?
me: (pause for a few seconds to calculate) nineteen hundred twenty.
him: (triumphant) No! It's three thousand, eight hundred and forty!
me: well, it would be if you multiplied it by two
him: (slightly disappointed in himself, but innocently enough) Did I forget the two?
him: (mischevious tone) Daddy? What's two times two times six times eight times ten?
