When has a white person heard the phrase "why don't you go back to where you came from?"

When was the last time someone walked up to a Caucasion person and asked them "So what part of Europe are you from"..."Oh I mean your parents?"

What happened to 40 acres and a mule?

I have a bit of Native American (Cheroke) in my blood although my skin is white.
something to take into consideration...

and my ancestors on my mother's side came from Scotland and England. I also have ancestors from Ireland (and you know how the Irish were treated...for all I know I might have HAD ancestors that were slaves.)
I am directly related to Olaf the Terrible. He was a Viking :D

Never judge a book by its cover.
I am a Texan, born and raised here...in the country's cultural melting pot.
My parents were born and were raised here...as were their parents...
and before that the lines start to get fuzzy.

What pisses me off is that my being fair skinned automatically labels me...NO QUESTIONS ASKED. Its forming an opinion without getting any of the facts. Saves you a lot of time and energy, doesn't it?
that and people that enforce racial stereotypes.

I'm sorry if someone has used your Native American, Scottish, English or Irish heritage against you in an argument or racial stereotyped because of your background...but its a serious thing for some when they can't drive in nice cars without being pulled over or being constantly asked to see a ticket when they use the metrorail or are instantly followed on security cameras.

you need to point fingers at the people that enforce the racial stereotypes. They are the ones making the rest of their race look bad and the other races respond accordingly ( ... )

I am sorry that a few things happened to you (and unfortunately, the people who did them were black) that were not very nice, but I hope that you are not so narrow-minded that you would actually think most black people are that way. Do you really think that black people are the only ones capable of doing those things? We had our car stolen by 2 black teenagers when we first moved here 5 years ago. My family lived next door to a convicted rapist (Out on parole) who was white. People are people--and every single one of us has good and bad sides. We are all capable of doing evil.

You are fooling yourself to think that only a certain race is limited to these kinds of behaviors. God forbid that little girl in your complex does something completely stupid one day.

of course I don't think all people of a certain race are a certain way.
That's just ridiculous.
and Christin is just a reminder...I see her every day.
and she does stupid stuff from time to time (she's just a kid) but she always takes personal responsibility for her actions and takes steps to remedy the situation that will have resulted from her actions.
I'm also quite fond of her parents.
They're good people.

Of course she does stupid stuff all the time--don't we all!?!?!?!!!! But what about when she grows up and does something that you've already stereotyped black people into doing? Will you write off the entire race just b/c of a few people's actions? That is too bad--you are limiting yourself from having what could potentially be a great friend or lover or daughter or son or father-in-law (if you ever quit thinking you are better than those who are not in your race--you may even fall in love with a person not of your color! Imagine that...or would it be God forbid!)
