OOC: And now, an intro!
I realize I haven't quite OOCly introduced myself! I'll be your Milia Fallyna for this evening, and I thought I'd give you a little background info on this character so you can know what to expect out of her.
Milia is from SDF Macross, which was one of the three series adapted (or butchered, depending on who you talk to) into "Robotech." While her name there was spelled Miriya, the name Milia tends to be used more often in official Macross works, so I'm sticking with that one. There are a few differences between Robotech and SDF Macross, but there are plenty of websites that can tell you about 'em, and they're quite frankly unlikely to come up here!
Milia is a Zentraedi. Zentraedi are a genetically-bred race of alien warriors who are physically similar to humans, enough that they're later able to have children with humans. The main physical difference comes in a Zentraedi's natural size of 35-50 feet. Their massive size is thought to be advantageous to combat. They are born fully-grown in clone chambers, and live their whole lives as soldiers. Because of the harsh nature of their lifestyles, many only survive a few years. Although they usually remain at full size, they are capable of using technology to reduce themselves to human size. Many of the more intelligent Zentraedi puzzle over the fact that the "Miclones," or humans, appear to live their whole lives at a "reduced" size.
For all of their battle ferocity, they live strange, sheltered lives and know little of the world outside of combat. Males and females are always segregated. They often react with shock, revulsion and fascination to expressions of "culture": music, expressive emotion, affection, kissing, even something so simple as a toy. A Zentraedi who witnesses a kiss may be outright stunned by the sheer culture shock. Naturally, a girl like Milia interacting with the multiverse is going to be dealing with plenty of culture shock.
Milia herself is very proud, arrogant and obsessed with defeating a certain "Miclone" ace who defeated her once. She can be hardheaded, hard-nosed and hot-tempered. In other words, I hope she's a lot of fun! If you want to scene with her, just give me a holler, either in a post or over IM. I'm a pretty flexible person.
