Next time, Shanghai!
Yay! I got picked off of the waiting list to be a volunteer at the Shanghai Expo 2010. However...I have decided I should not go--sigh. Besides the fact that it cuts into the spring semester and the summer class I'll have to take, it also coincides with this Intensive Summer program that I'm trying to apply for, which is for future teachers of the Chinese language. It feels like the Shanghai Expo would be the more exciting experience!! 4 months of working as an intern at such a large international stage in Shanghai!! However, that would throw things off of schedule. The other program though, is only 1month long, and I have a feeling it will be less exciting. I don't know how much more Chinese and teaching methods I could learn in such a short period of time vs. the 4 months of work in Shanghai (40 hrs per week). AAH....if only the timing was to my liking, hahahha. But, 世事岂能尽如人意。。。
