As usual, in my note taking manner, as I'm not an eloquent writer at all, of the things as I remember from this morning's Sunday service given by John Mol, in or out of order, so not so much of a sequential summary, if that makes sense, and well it may not make sense to you all, but it makes sense to me:
Well, Kong zai came by to give me a ride today because I did not feel like arriving to church alone.  Hey, now that I think about it, it kind of ties in a tad with the message.  So we arrive, and find a nice simple parking spot, unlike the one parallel spot Daughter and Kong zai unsuccessfully parked into three weeks ago, when Daughter and I returned from RU.
Let me recall, the focus more or less was Acts 2:1-4.  He talks a little bit about eagles and lions and bunnies and robins.  Who's more powerful, lion or bunnies?  He starts off introducing himself a bit and tells us he teaches at ACIT as a history teacher, and as a teacher he gets check ups by his superiors.  This one lady supervisor of his, who typically comes off as stern, cold, and powerful breaks down in front of him Thursday when John Mol went to her office to get a simple signature and asked how she was doing because she looked quite off that day.  And she replies saying that she was feeling terrible; her son and daughter-in-law just lost their fourth baby--right before father's day, too--they've been trying to have a baby, but well >.<
Then John Mol brings in a little tie, with how the disciples felt powerless when Jesus left them physically, where they had been with Jesus for three years and had nothing to fear or worry about because they were with Jesus, with God who is Almighty and Powerful.  Cause where Jesus went they went, they had no worries.  So the disciples were left feeling lonely, confused, powerless, and at a lost--just as everyone has felt as one point or another.  But what the disciples did was that they waited on the Lord.  So in times when we are negative, wait on the Lord.  The Lord doesn't arrive early, the Lord doesn't arrive fashionably late, but the Lord arrives just in time.  Hotness.  The Lord is there in times of suffering, lost, confusion, and other adjectives.  Sweet.  The Lord is powerful.  Think of Him as a tornado, hurricane, or something just for sake of using John Mol's imagery to grasp.  When such a power comes your way, do you go against it and just kind of stand there thinking you can stop the tornado, stop the hurricane?  No, I hope, unless you're a nutty weather reporter.  Powerless things go away and die off, but the Lord doesn't.  The Holy Spirit is powerful.  Flipped over to take a look at John 15?
There were three words John Mol used, but I kind of forget, but along the lines of open, receive...something else.  Then John Mol goes to tell us, when people go to the Lord for an answer, and get an answer, but do not like the answer and choose not to follow the answer...well, it's probably a bad idea.  When you get an answer from the Lord, it's best to follow it; makes sense to me.  Good to keep that in mind and best to act accordingly.
But anyway, back to the lady, so John asked if she would like John to put her and her family on the prayer list at Trinity Alliance Church, and surprisingly she said yes.  Had she been her typically powerful self, perhaps not, but in such times of powerlessness.... Anyway, the only times we are in power is when the Lord is with us, and other times we are much so weak.  Next time he speaks with her, he tells her and her family are on the list and they are praying for them, she tells him, it's working.
Oh yes, John Mol also mentioned this really bright healthy carpenter guy who had a brain aneurysm, off to the hospital he went, people prayed for him.  Within two weeks, he awoke.  Question is, will he go with the flow and visit the church, or be a crazy weather man?  But such is the power of prayer =)
And by the way, it's great to see prayers answered among the people I care about and the Holy Spirit working around me.  I'm waiting...^^v & >.
