Aaauugh, shopping. x_x

So a late update on that Batman saga: The machine Batman and Robin were tied up on was a player piano music puncher. They escaped by singing. I say that in the loosest sense of the term, it was the most random atonal bunch of nonsense imaginable, but Batman claimed it was carefully calculated to make the machine perforate around them. The rest of the episode wasn't so notable, really. Nothing can top the incompetence of the Gotham police force.

Yesterday I went out to Plano so I could go out to Frisco with Tracie. She apparently needed to go to Ikea since she's all living on her own now and had a coupon. I'd never been there before and honestly, I wasn't that impressed. It's just furniture. I can't even imagine living somewhere where everything is coordinated. I did get a new chair though, since somebody broke mine (further) at that new years party thing and then I took the seat off completely in hopes of making it into a stand for something, but was disappointed. It's not like I ever sit in my room anymore, but now I have the option. Or I would have the option if I took it out of the box and put it together. Maybe later.

We also went to the Stonebriar mall which was a little ridiculous. I ended up buying stuff I don't really need, which happens a lot when I'm with Tracie somehow. When I was wandering around malls and stuff the other day with someone else I didn't buy anything at all! (except for girl scout cookies, and those hardly count) I don't know what's up with that, man. I got some of those silly little Mario themed candy tins, some sushi earrings, an Alphonse Mucha calendar, an Adventure Time key cover, and uhh. I guess that's it. So maybe it's not that much, but still. It could have been much worse, because apparently there was a Lego store there, and they had Egyptian Lego sets! I want Lego Anubis so bad you don't even know. D: There was also this awesome Horus hat that I wanted so I could put it on something other than an ugly mummy. XD; But Anubis only came in the ridiculous $100 pyramid set and I cannot justify buying something like that ever. I mean, what would I even do with it, there is nowhere to put stuff like that in my house! They also had sets of magnets with the figures on them all glued together, but I only wanted Anubis, but not enough to spend $15 and get two I don't even care about. :\ I wish he'd been on a keychain so bad but the only one from that collection was a mummy with a pharaoh hat! BAH.

Uhh, anyway. After the mall we floated over to Movie Trading Company and Half-Price Books, which wasn't too interesting, though I was kind of tempted by a Final Fantasy VII piano cd, but I resisted that. Then we went back to Plano and ate sushi, and also quail eggs. They were in little half lemons full of sauce, and you were supposed to shoot them and squeeze the lemon I guess. Only I took like ten minutes to work up to doing that and then completely failed at the lemon squeezing. This probably means I should never even attempt to take actual shots of anything.

So I ended up staying out waaaaay later than I wanted to and didn't get home until like 10:30. I wonder if this is what normal people with social lives do. For some reason it really bothers me when I don't get home before I don't know, 6 or 7, but I don't know if there's any good reason for that. In any case, my feet and calves are still sore from that and I kind of don't want to do anything now and I really really wish I had a bathtub I could go hang out in for a while, preferably one full of warm water. Except I'm pretty sure I need to go to the grocery store at some point today so I can cook dinner later and be less useless. Hmm. I will see if I can work up to that.
