This is the birthday post...even though that was a couple days ago. :B
Whoops, I left this sitting here for a couple days. I should finish it and post it finally.
So eventually I went out for my birthday...though I'm still not so sure it was really going out for my birthday so much as random outing with mom and her friends, but whatever. We went to eat at Genghis Grill, which was pretty much delicious. Earlier that morning my friend Halo sent me a text asking what my favorite fruit, animal, or food was, so the reply was strawberry cat sushi because I apparently couldn't just pick one to answer? And then she showed up at the restaurant with this.
I was expecting her to make something, since that is what she does, but I was not expecting that. It was pretty epic. XD
After that we went to see Star Trek, which was pretty good, although it took me a while to lose the urge to shout "Look out, James, Sylar's going to eat your brain and steal your smug douchebag powers!" Yyyeah, I lose. I think the general consensus is that everything got more awesome when Scotty showed up, because yay. Honestly, I have never really watched any of the series or other movies outside of kind of being in the same room as the tv when they were on and not really paying attention, so pretty much this was my first real exposure to it.
Yesterday when I went out to run errands and crap I found a box sitting on the doorstep with Manga Studio 4 in it, which I told dad I wanted, so yay. I am still not really sure how to use it properly, but it at least makes digital inking a lot easier and faster.
And now I should be working my ass off cleaning and making stuff because omg A-kon is next weekend, I don't understand how it's here already. D: Today's task is to tackle the bathroom, and also try to finish a Death Note print on the side. Man, I wanted to have a bunch of new prints and crap done this year, but clearly it was not meant to be...I'll be lucky if I can crank out two. I need to make business cards too, omg. So I guess it would be a good idea to stop rambling on LJ and get to work.
