Yeah, so this is late.
So, I've been terribly remiss in reporting that the day after the pile of sticks mom did in fact bring home a tree...of course that was missing the point that what I was really upset about is the fact that we never do anything together and she went off for said tree with her friend, but whatever. It eventually got decorated, and I'm finally posting pictures because they need to be posted.
Okay, so there isn't a single actual christmas ornament on this thing other than the generic shiny balls and everything else is random nerdy crap from around the house.
Needless to say, we have the best tree topper ever.
I can't report on any christmas loot except for socks and Heroes DVDs I bought and got mom and two of her friends addicted to because we were bored last weekend because Kyle's still in England, and that means christmas doesn't actually happen for a while yet. Yesterday was really not very christmas-like, mom and I pretty much watched movies all day except for the part where we rearranged the living room a little and organized all the dvds and games. A few people came over later and sat around through a couple more movies, but other than that, terribly uneventful. And then I stayed up until 5AM talking to somebody online, which was totally smart on my part, and slept until about 3.
I kind of meant to go somewhere today, like to finally get paper for cards, but I kind of don't want to, so we'll see how that plays out. Though I guess I probably should leave the house as the cats are out of food. I need motivation, again.
I guess the first thing to do is go find something to eat. Maybe I'll have some of that smoked turkey that tastes like ham...I don't think there's anything else in the house, actually. Dammit.
