Well, it wouldn't be the first time one of my favorite characters in a series had a stupidly inexplicable death. >__> But you know, that's just going to make me not believe it even more. Especially after the perfectly reasonable and suitably dramatic NOT death. I mean...come ON. I'm STILL in denial about the other half, too, dammit!
Speaking of series with stupidly inexplicable deaths, my mom read through that book yesterday and reported some of the details of the epilogue to me. And I must say, my desire to finish the series dropped about ten-fold just hearing about that completely unnecessary add-on. :D It's like Rowling got tired of all our gay fanfic and just went, LOOK, GUYS, THESE PEOPLE MARRIED THESE PEOPLE AND HAD THIS MANY KIDS AND THAT'S HOW IT GOES, SO THERE. Hah, as if that would stop anyone. But omg I do not want to hear about Bill's children with that veela bitch! D: Or child. Whatever. OMG SPOILER! You know what...for that, I'm pretty sure it doesn't even matter. Except you know at least they don't die.
As I'm on a roll with the stupid deaths, let's talk about one of the endings to Suikoden V! "Oh, isn't that great, Prince, we won! *die*" Wait, what? Whoops. Oh well! Better luck next time? I'm fairly certain with that lame of a death, that one will survive in another ending. And I'm actually on a roll playing that again! I got to Rainwall and picked up a star I never got before in the town of aesthetic pain (I didn't know you could go through that fence! D:), and now I'm off to prison. Yay! Unless I find something else to do with my LAST WEEKEND OF MY LAST SUMMER VACATION T___T I will probably be playing that some more.
And gee, I've convinced myself that that whole mess was so unbelievable, I'm not even worried about it anymore! Of course, with that, watch it turn out to be true. But whatever, I live almost completely in close AUs for that series by now anyway. :D;
