All About Me
You can get a lot (read: a tiny bit) of information about me on my main profile. This is for all of you, new friends!
My online name is Star and I have gone by this name since 1996. My real name is Kathrine, but very few people outside of family calls me that. I'd prefer that unless you're family or a work colleague, that you call me Star. That's how my friends know me. I am twenty eight years old. I was born on June 21st. This birthday, if you go by zodiac signs, makes me a Gemini cusp Cancer (depending on which zodiac calendar you look at). What this means is that I exhibit traits of both a Gemini and a Cancer rather than predominantly one. However, I'm fairly certain I lean more towards Cancer traits. Take that as however you interpret zodiac influences (complete garbage or the holy bible; I don't care). If you want to know my Chinese zodiac, I am a Water Dog.
Animals have always been a huge part of my life with dogs being number one on favorite animal list with wolves, foxes and horses following behind. I have always owned a pet. Always. I have owned dogs, cats, rats, bunnies, birds, horses, mice, snakes, and other assorted critters. You name it, I've probably had it or thought about having it. Currently, I am obsessed with ferrets and foxes. I have always been in love with German shepherd dogs. I equally adore Rough Collies and Kai Kens.
I own one dog, named Fenrir. He is a German shepherd/Labrador mix (we think) and he is a psychotic crazypants. He is seven years old and the bane of my existence, but I love his broken self. He is my $5,000 pound puppy thanks to recent e-vet trip and surgery. I "co-own" another dog, named Freya (sense a theme?). She is a fail Collie that is owned by my friend Muzz. She is the opposite of Fenrir in almost all regards and is kind of broken, but it makes her the perfect dog.
On the animal note, most of my characters are animals! I do not think I am a furry but I have nothing against them. I also don't care if you think I am or not. I certainly won't fly into a murderous rage if you call me one. I just really like animals and the character I started with online (for an old, forgotten about show called Road Rovers) was an anthropomorphic canine so I just stuck with her. So hey, if you think I am, it's cool. If you don't, it's also cool. No hate, bro.
I consider myself a writer. I don't consider myself an overly good writer, but I still enjoy it. I have played in about four RPG boards in the past few years. One a Ginga Densetsu Weed themed board, one an Ouran High School Host Club board, and two original boards. I have also adminned all of these boards. I enjoy all of the interactions in character but perhaps not so much out of character. I also write lots of short stories, fifty themes and co-written stories with or for my good friend Chaos with whom I have a bajillion characters with, roughly. I'm not even kidding. I think it's up to a good forty or so characters between the both of us.
I am a nerd. I enjoy things such as anime, reading, history, old cartoons from my childhood, and Pokemon. My favorite Pokemon, by the way, are almost all the canine-ish ones. Jolteon is my top favorite. I enjoy a lot of anime, some of my top ten favorites being Darker Than BLACK, Ouran High School Host Club, Fruits Basket, Durarara!!, and Cowboy Bebop. I enjoy all sorts of books but I think the majority of my collection is generally leaning towards fantasy. I almost never stop reading. I believe reading to be even better than anything put onto a screen. Recently I have read Dexter by Design, Victory of Eagles and the third Spice and Wolf light novel. I like to spread my interests out!
I have a very macabre sense of humor as well as a fairly twisted one and I think it shows. I try to not be offensive but it happens. I also try to gear my humor towards each individual so if I say something that makes you uncomfortable, let me know!
