Ok so for those who dont know lets start this story from the top,
My dad has been having hip problems for about a week . . and even started going to see a chiropractor. However Sunday my dad was in so much pain he could not walk under his own power and took my mother 1 hour to get him from the bathroom where he had been for 2 hours to bed only 12ft away.
I was not informed of this until my mother called me while I was at Z and moogles . . at that point I said "I have to go"
When I got home I walked in to check on my dad to find him red faced and crying.
I then talked to my mom who said he cant even stand or put weight on his leg, we entertained the idea of trying to roll him out to the car using the two office chairs we have, but mom said that it would be to hard on him to get him out side threw the garage.
After checking with insurance my mother called 911 and with in 10min EMS and a fight truck pulled up, they loaded my dad on a gurney and took him to Arlington Memorial hospital in north Arlington.
after grabbing fast dinner my mom and I got to the ER at about 11:30pm my dad was already back and being looked at when they called back my mother.
I sat out in the er waiting room for a good hour before my mom came and got me, I got to see my dad for about 45min before they wheeled him off to x ray after staring him on an if of what they called "synthetic morphine"
Mom and I sat and waited for another 3 hours before he returned from xray and we awaited the results.
2 hours later the doctor comes in and says "you have a broken hip" . .
with in the next hour they had gotten him a room set up in the hospital and he was admitted and was told the surgeon would be by at 7 to speak to him about surgery.
At this point (about 6:am) my mother and I make a trip home to give the dog his insulin, and my mom to briefly change clothes before leaving again. I stayed at home and dropped in bed and slept from 6:30am to 1:30pm.
After I got up I heard that my dad would be having surgery at about 6pm. I took my mom some food and talked with her abit before returning home to do some house keeping. I need to return to the hospital in the next hour to take mom some dinner and to sit with dad while she comes home to clean up and rest a bit.
That is where things stand at this point, My dad crys if me or my mom leave the room. Family and his co-workers have been informed of the situation.
When it rains it pours
