Working on Pictures tonight, Yule con (the bad and the ugly): notes for the future
So I have yule con pics and I will file convert and get them posted tonight after I pick up my aunt at 10 from her work
Lots of fun at yule con but few things for future events that I would like to set as my personal Ground rules:
1. NO YAOI/YURI at MAIN GROUP GATHERINGS - this was a bit of a problem at yule con, not as major as the akon or afest ones but I would like to put down the following
I am a yaoi fan -> but if its done with out fiense Its UGLY and Offenceive -> if blatent yaoi is done at a main/public photoshoot I will leave no questions asked, I dont do pictures of STUPID fan girling and random kissing.
I may be a homosexual . . but even I find it offenceive, and degrading.
2. ACT PROFESSIONAL - I understand that your happy to have other people who like the same things you do. but loud yelling and inappropreate language in a public setting. Creates a bad face for our fandom and for All cosplayers.
if you want to goof off and do stupid funny shots, those can be done later at a "Crack shoot" or a private shoot on your own time
My big thing as a photographer is that the quieter and more attentive the models are the faster that the shoot gets done, and the more shots that can get in. In the summer this means Less time in the HEAT.
3. BE CANON -> Yes there are Suggestive things from some animes and I am all for reinacting scences from the show/manga/game that are totaly cute or awesome. but making up outfits like school girl, lolita, ect. are mostly tastess. Most are cute for design purposes but trying to put such a charater in with a cannon secene is very difficult to do.
4. Your not God - Trust me you can throw a tif at me and Im just gonna say "screw you" and walk off cause, I have learned I dont have to take shit from anyone. (and just cause you cosplay Russia doesnt mean your invinceable) ((no saphyr that isnt aimed at you)).
5. Keep FOCUS - Durring group shoots I find it hard to get a good group shot because someone always moves or wont stop talking, I will take a shot 3 times, if its not by the 3rd time the shot gets trashed or croped. So I prefer that the models focus on me so that each image comes out clean and clear.
Sorry for my half rant of doom, I just got so irked at some things at yulecon. I really dont want the Hetalia fandom bastardised into some stupid fandom for homomone driven teenagers. (Go join a vic fandom for that)
