Last week at this time, I was waiting in GFS trying to get the foods for Con Suite and my own lounge paid for. Funny how a week blows by that fast.
Highlights:
I got into the parade in Acme.
I ran both Charades and AfterDark Charades. Both were a huge hit (in a tiny room). Those AD words tho...yeah XD
Fursuit Games were fun. Deathmatch games are still the best :)
I got some suiting time in on Sunday evening, after the con ended. I was in Stevie, my albino Dog, but few took pics of me.
Yapped with Crosscheck, Lucky, Mr. A and Dark Tiger for some good times.
Zenny, fuck, man, you know just when to pop up and lift my spirits. You really are the best.
I got to visit with Kendra and ate some Crunchie Bars, even tho I had to endure MLP episodes as payment *groans*.
I had a very good staff for Staff Lounge this year. I do hope they come back.
Had some good times after closing with Jen and Street on Sat night.
Lowlights:
Missed seeing just about everyone I did want to see. Happens when you work most of the long day at a con.
Saw some old friends, but couldn't get more than a cursory glance or wave from most; I guess I'm not Popufur enough.
Cold. Fucking. Wind.
There were challenges with working this con, but in the end, it all worked out; thinking fast on one's feet has always been a gift of mine. But the exhaustion took its toll on me; when I hit the bed, I didn't wake up on any night.
All in all, I expected most of this to happen, and therefore wasn't a total brutal failure like last year's con was for me. Next year, with more experienced staff, I'll be a bit more...findable I hope.
