This fic was fantastic! Seriously. I'm a sucker for anything Manhunter, because Kate is a fascinating character and vastly underappreciated, and she and Helena just work together. (Helena being another vastly underrated character.) They're similar but just different enough to really make it work, and I could TOTALLY see something like this happening after Oracle disbands the Birds. It's gritty and dark and fabulous. I hope you keep writing for these characters!

Holy sweet mother of God. There aren't enough words for me to express how incredible this story was! The characterization, the dialogue, the build up, the attention to detail... I believe the term is "Fucking Phenomenal".

Seriously, you are amazing, and if you had taken over writing for Birds of Prey, maybe it would still be around. Also, who doesn't love a Manhunter story?!

I love Manhunter insanely, I love Huntress insanely, so when I saw this fic I thought "Wow, that's a pairing that's never occurred to me before, but I'll give it a shot."

Wow. It's been a long while since I've enjoyed a fic this much. You had great pacing, a great plot, fantastic characterisations, and the whole Kate/Helena relationship progressed so beautifully and realistically, without having to rely purely on porn factor which many stories do. I enjoy the romance, the leading up to things and the sweet moments much more, and this had plenty of beautiful scenes. I really hope you continue writing these two, and thank you so much for sharing!

This was absolutely brilliant! I love Manhunter and Huntress and hate that they have gotten such short shrift in the comics lately but you captured them perfectly here. The pairing works so well, even though I never thought of it, and you wrote the tension and romance of it perfectly. The other parts of the story are spot on, too--the noir flavor, the murder mystery, the secret microchip from Oracle! Your use of language is deft and subtle and you effectively created an atmosphere for the story that fit so well.

And Oracle...stupid DC bastards.

I know I'm repeating what others have said, but... I'm a huge BoP and Manhunter fan, and to see them blended in any femslash story would be a kick.

But a well-written story with an interesting plot, where people stay in character (love the Dylan moments, for instance), that's long and involving and fun to read??

Jackpot!
