so the not-so-well-kept secret is that law school sort of sucks. i mean, there are parts i really like. contracts class is actually genuinely fascinating, and we spent a whole day on the theory of promises, with no case law at all, which left many of my classmates totally irate. i, however, really liked it and immediately went out and ordered

if it makes you feel any better, i finally found the syllabus for the summer session of training, and umm, i have no idea how the hell i will have time in the day/week to do everything. there's required READING. and WRITING. and i thought we were supposed to co-teach and stuff, and i still don't even know what borough i'm teaching in and people are ALREADY sending out resumes. for JANUARY. AHHHHH. oh, and all the reading looks terribly, terribly boring. though i have done some of it already, strangely enough. yay, history degrees! random information that comes in handy at the strangest times! ::cough::
at least you like contracts. i mean, that has to mean something, right? i, personally, think i would hate class and skip most of the reading because i would get caught on a tangent and go read about *that* instead, but. almost everyone i know was bored the first few weeks. susie and jill really like it now . . . you know, you should try to find jill, maybe. she's on the con law review and she's made loads of friends and she's not usually good at that stuff, so perhaps she'll have some ideas. i imagine also you'll get closer to your section-people when it comes time to study. (i am thinking of legally blonde and study groups here. it's perhaps sad that i always end up making a legally blonde reference when discussing law school.)
but you've always been good at making friends. it's just a little different this time, cause a) you aren't crushing on anyone in class (hee), and b) you go home to real home home whereas these other kids mostly drink. at least according to jill. oh, there's apparently trivia somewhere though that kat and jill both go to - you should get a team together! oh, trivia. how i miss you.
