Because my week has not been having enough fun at my expense, we have "Extra Credit Bonus Joy": Automatic System updates have screwed up my BRAND NEW (only TWO weeks out of the box) computer which, is now in safe mode trying to do a restore.
It took several minutes & two failed attempts to contact Sony Support, but auto-repair finally completed the actual repair.
The two failed attempts being 1st) since I couldn't use my computer to use the online support, I tried to use my mobile tablet. Alas, the online support chat is not supported. So 2nd) I requested a support person call me. My phone immediately rang- and then an automated system told me that Sony had tried several times to reach me and it was unsuccessful, but thanks for requesting a call all the same.
When the system did come up it had lots of "Xxx program failed and must close". So, while the system was still up, I tried online support again. I ended up having my issue escalated in the tech group all the way to "Call this number for extensive troubleshooting"
System seems good right now.
In other news:
I told a friend today that I think I am recovered enough from the accident for jokes like "Try not to run over any Mexican kids on your way through the parking lot."
Progress is sometimes best measured in humor.
