Do you recall that social event that I said I would bail out on yesterday? So, as I was packed and ready to duck out, I bumped into everyone by the elevators. And they said, "just come for a little while! Just one drink!" And they're so nice and I never get to talk to people outside work so I caved rather easily.
We chatted about work stuff and non-work stuff (I got to show off my knowledge of the cousin chart) and someone bought me my ginger ale and I think they were just so excited to see me there. It wasn't a large group, which makes me less anxious, and they're all cool.
Of course, I could only stay an hour because of my ridiculous commute. But... I had fun. It was a good time.
