I took advantage of my MoMa membership for the first time yesterday, and it's quite fabulous. I went during lunch and visited the
Alighiero Boetti exhibit, and it was good to just focus on one exhibit and not feel like you have to see an entire museum in a day. And his work is really fascinating. He was so weird. Like, he predicted his own date of death and integrated it in several works (making it even more sad that he died nearly 30 years sooner than he predicted). And there's a lot of stuff about order & chaos (oh hey, Tellius).
I quite like having a museum membership. I can go and spend an hour there and then go back to work. I plan on visiting the entire museum over the next year.
And if anyone is ever in town, I can bring a guest for only $5 ;)
