Routing tables and Walruses. The Return.

The sun was shining on the sea,
Shining with all his might:
He did his very best to make
The billows smooth and bright--
And this was odd, because it was
The middle of the night.

The moon was shining sulkily,
Because she thought the sun
Had got no business to be there
After the day was done--
"It's very rude of him," she said,
"To come and spoil the fun!"

But I was sitting at my desk
not looking at the pair,
but giving rubberbands a twist
to wrap about my hair
and reading routing manuals
'bout networks here and there.

I must have fallen fast asleep
and when i did awake-
my roommate and his guests had gone
and with them went the rake,
which now i find both sad and odd-
we hadn't one to take!

I stumbled to the door to find
the parking lot devoid
of any kind of vehicle
spaceships or even droids.
I dont mind saying in the least
that made me quite annoyed.

But, "Anger never earned me much"
I muttered as I sat
back in the chair back at my desk
it was hardly long at that
before i slept and dreamt of walruses
in stylish boulder hats.

"The time has come," the Walrus said,
"To talk of many things:
Of shoes--and ships--and sealing-wax--
Of cabbages--and kings--
And why the sea is boiling hot--
And whether pigs have wings."
