My shift answered the phone and stumbled around that fact after the person on the other end of the line asked if we 'had any colored baristas'. which, since we have a coffee machine that is in different colors and on sale called the Barista, makes sense, but is a little confusing since we coffee dealers are also called Baristas.

there in lies the problem.

not much else in the shop though and that in itself is weird. theres been no serious flux in customer traffic and so the people weve got now are the people weve always gotten. sure theres a FEW new bits, but mostly its the same. And my alarm clock- my digital alarm clock- just went off one minute early. Because 6am just cant come early enough.

Elsewise, ive been getting the feeling lately (and i do sometimes) that i've been hounding some people. And i dont think that i have, i just feel that way when I greet people who dont greet me. For some reason thats probably irrational it bugs me that my attempts to simply be polite are met with silence at best and at worse.. 'Double tall latte', 'Well, yes, but Hello, How are you?'. I know that most people who ask do so because they think somebody wants them too. Or they think that the hollow echo of a greeting they offfer in someway garuntees them money in the tip jar. But not me. Im greeting you because I want to know how you are. Particularly if im doing so while balancing 169 degree milk in one hand, and your 80 syllable monstrosity latte in the other.

and now a cousin ive not talked to in what has to be years just called me by mistake. Back to bed with me.
