I spent this weekend eating lots of yummy food, watching great films and hanging out with my cats - like, proper quality hang out time with them. I feel awful (not that they'd even notice) that I haven't taken any photos of them since my return.
After being away for a month, (now back for a fortnight) I am still delighted every time I wake up to them curled up next to me in bed.
Anyway, I had duck pie at the Eno-teca on Friday night. They do great food, I mean really truly great food - but they out-did themselves this time. Incredible pie (not to mention the incredible company of Chris and Kim, Leese, Jules my housemate, Nico, Mon, Stephanie and some strangers!); Saturday Leese and I ended up lunching at Dench (only the best bakery in the world! Well, maybe not the world, but they supply Melbourne's fine dining restaurants with their bread!) - and munched on open hamburgers - delicious! Saturday night was a fresh home made stir-fry of soba noodles with broccoli, bok choy, red cabbage, baby corns (LOVE baby corn), mushrooms, tofu and coriander - coupled with "The Talented Mr Ripley" ... and Sunday was an epic toasted muesli breakfast with multiple coffees followed by leftovers all day (aaaaaaalll day).. I have literally eaten through my weekend.
And it was great.
This week has to be dedicated to being healthy and looking after one's self with fruit and veg. And exercise. And I feel good about that and ready to get back into routine!
Thank goodness the weather is on my side!
And here are my cats - because I love them.
Kitri
And Hazel.
