Home, alive, blessed.

I didn't really have time or the facilities to update whilst away, except via the tweets.
So much to say. I feel like I can't go back to the real world. Back to the machine.

I cannot believe, still, that I have just spent one whole month in Europe. So much food, excellent food, fantabulous wine, walking til we couldn't walk any more, walking through history, seeing some of the most amazing art and buildings in the world, and the weather! It should have been cold, but thanks to an unexpected late summer heatwave, it was almost 30 degrees every day. Swimming, swanning around in sandals, warm nights out.

I need to go back.

Here are just a couple of shots (of food!), which I posted on flickr when I was away. The rest - there are just too many to go through (and lots of them are of food anyway!). And I have the most chronic jetlag, ergh its horrible.

I have already decided. May next year. I just have to. I think I want to live there, but I have to know for sure.

I have to go back to the machine on Monday.
I have to find some other solution.

I am feeling the unbearable lightness of being just thinking about everything out there that I am not a part of.

But I did miss my cats. I'm still in my pajamas watching terrible late night tv on a Saturday night, cats in lap - one on either side! They never do that. I feel missed! And a half bottle of red wine to help the sleep come and cure this awful jetlag.

Paris, France:

In Paris - Leese, Phoebe and me.

We cracked the top of a creme-brulee with a real champagne in the cafe 'Amelie' was shot in.

Rainbow in Paris, made me think of my grandparents.

Just too much sugar!

Coffee eclairs!

Italy:

We went swimming in the Mediterranean - the Amalfi Coast

Best. Pizza. Ever. In Naples.

When in Rome - eat and drink!

When in Rome - eat lots and hug the 2000 year old Pantheon. Crazy.

At the Colosseum in Rome.

Me, in St Marc's Square in Venice.

Again, me in Venice.

Barcelona, Spain:

Tapas!

More tapas and sangria after going to the beach.

Me and Leese, in the middle - with some of the great people we met at the hostel. About to go dancing!

Free Paella and Sangria for dinner, delicious!

Berlin, Germany:

Best breakfast ever.

I know, I know - had to try it. Turns out Currywurst is actually REALLY tasty.

I wish I had more of my photos of Berlin to share. It was the best place. I think I want to live there. Barcelona was definitely the most fun, and I met some people I think I will call real friends for a long time. More about that next time.
