I really like this series. So much angst. And as a prequel, you're right, it needs to be read 'out of order' to get the full impact of exactly how much dang angst is going on. Poor Rodney! Poor John!

Um, I thought this was relenting. A little. Okay, maybe not so much. The next one should relent. Maybe.

Anyway, I'm glad you're liking them, and that the out of order thing works for you. The next two (at least) will be John's POV, and we get to see how they're totally in different worlds.

Actually, you're right I have read the others, I just didn't recognize the series name. Once I went to the series I recognized it. I hope the fact that it has a name means there will be more of the series.

I have tags for McKay and Mrs. Miller and Phantoms nibbling at my brain. And I'll have to do something with The Return, but I don't know quite what yet . . .

Despite the fact I've told myself to stop reading every Irresistible tag that pops up because they all seem to be along the same lines, I clicked on yours. And it's wonderful to see in-character angst with an ending that's not "happy", but more status quo.

I think that if Rodney and John do every get together in this universe, the Batman and Catwoman thing will be used for embarrassing bed talk ;).

Thanks, I'm glad you thought they were reasonably in-character. I really struggled with this, and wasn't sure that I tried to pull together the humor in the beginning with the angst at the end. But that's what I get for trying to tie a light-hearted episode into my uber-angsty series! I should have done Misbegotten instead...
