I'm sick, wait! No I'm not!
I always found it interesting that in the States when somebody wanted to convey the fact that they were ill they would often say: "I'm sick!"
I always wanted to answer with "are you? How disturbing!!" because although sometimes people will use the phrase "I'm sick" in the UK to indicate illness, it is more often used over here to indicate a twisted, disturbed, dark and crazy personality.
So if you were to say Charles Manson was sick over here, then we'd more likely be referring to his disgusting psychotic personality rather than that he had a cold or something!
