How you choose to speak and how you're comfortable speaking is your business and whoever is going to take it so seriously as to get offended is (not to sound high and mighty or anything) probably just not intelligent (or sensible, or patient, or any of those other nice qualities people should have) enough to understand what it is you're really trying to say.
